I'm looking for a relatively simple tactic for a tier 7 youth academy only side.
The issue I have is that in non league I normally revert to a direct football to a TM with pacy players around him, but I just don't have an strikers with strength higher than 6 or pace above 12.
Their technicals...
Umm.. yeah.. now you're asking!
I definitely amended some of the roles but I've slept since then.
At work at the minute but will try and remember to get some screenshots later. It might be I post 11 screenshots and you just have to work through and figure out the changes!
This tactic hasn't been changed. I have a second slightly more direct version on balanced that I switch to if the side is struggling just to mix it up.. but that's probably half a game 4-5 times a season and very occasionally a full match.. just in that situation where you feel the match engine...
I've used this tactic to bring a created club from English Tier 6 to the championship using a mix of youth academy players and a few 17-18 year olds bought in to fill gaps each season. Season 1 holidayed to Christmas to find the club adrift at the bottom of the league and used this tactic to...
That can definitely work well with a quick striker playing on the break. but the tactic is set up to suit the PF on support. Any similar role such as a False 9 will be effective at holding the ball up and bringing the other players into the game. A Target man would probably work too but I don't...
Big thanks to Vujevic and various others on his tactics thread for guidance in setting this up. It evolved from Spielmacher. Fairly effective for underdogs in English Lower League and very effective for stronger sides. Not tested at Elite Level so may need a few tweaks for that.
Is this the test linked a couple of posts earlier? I'd be curious to see how my 3-4-2-1 fares against Spielmacher and Tornado in this test as I know they're both really effective in game.
In my opinion if you're using weaker/underdog teams you could consider dropping mentality to positive and replacing the libero with a CD on cover. When at home against weaker teams you can switch to the full tactic.
If you are already playing with a strong team then I'd say you're unlucky or...
I thought I'd share this formation having just had an incredibly successful season in League 1 where I ended up winning promotion on the final day with a. young side predicted to finish dead last.
It's an attacking 3 at the back which I developed from the starting template of Vujevic's...
Is there any chance you could post some more team performance stats please? eg the chart that shows xG, against xG etc
I'm working on my own 3 at the back formation that started out as Spielmacher v4. This formation is the gold standard so I"m interested in any stats you can share.
Thanks...
In lower league I've been using a slightly modified version with reduced intensity and a positive mindset. The original plan was to use Spielmacher v4 and then drop to the modified version at the end of matches or when easily winning to reduced tiredness.
I now use the modified version to start...
