You see this kind of thing a lot. Starts innocent enough, I'm defending my club, everybody does that sometimes. But then they keep digging the trench, for years, until they are so deep underground they can't even see when the war is over.

Anyway, I guess congratulations on the title, whatever remote chance City had to catch up is gone, they will be completely demoralized the rest of the season after this news.

They will drop in table and lose money from PL rewards. There's your punishment.

Let's say City gets docked 3 points during the previous year when you lost title by 2 points. Would you also insist point deduction should happen the next season?

    The Premier League Thread

Well, it would also be sham if they picked a time for deduction on a basis of what time will be most convenient for Liverpool. I'm sure they have some regulations for this stuff, as long as they stick to that there's no problem.

Thing is, with this much at stake it's not gonna stop at appealing to UEFA. They are taking this is to regular court, guarantee it. UEFA are of course loaded, but they're small potatos when going against a country.

Everybody's celebrating, but you know they're just gonna appeal and it will be reduced to 3-minute CL ban and a $5 fine. The people who are ruining this sport have far too much money and power to let something like this happen.

Looks like in a typical Bielsa fashion the team fell apart mid-season. He may be a great theoretician but there is a reason he never landed in a top club in 30 years of working in football.

So apparently The Sun reporter was present during the incident at Woodward's house. I'm sure it's all a complete coincidence, sheer stroke of chance that he just happened to be passing by. This is a definitely entirely plausible.

Yeah, I I know exactly what you mean. I was relatively lucky, things were already becoming a bit better around the time I was starting to work. It's the generations that have to rebuild that are screwed. You either have to leave or accept that everything will suck, but if you work hard it might...

Curious if Pep stays another season to try to fight the red machine, or if he moves to another league where he can dominate just by spending bags of money.

Like I said, I have no problem at all with people transfering abroad very young. Like you said, better opportunities, better coaching, better money, of course they should leave. But not as literally kids. And we were definitely dirt poor country when I was growing up. You had to wipe your ***...

Star player in Ekstraklasa can pull half a million euros a year. Star player in 2nd division can pull maybe 70-80 thousand euro a year, which I'm pretty sure is a good money even in the UK. We're by no means a poor country and none of those guys are escaping poverty. It's literally just chasing...

The part you're missing is that 90% of those kids will never make it in top flight football. So imagine the feeling when great big club axes you and you're 18 with no clear future. Happens all the time. Heck, my hometown club sold a 19-year old defender a while back. Makes a debut, plays half a...

Yeah that's another thing, I have no idea why this **** is even legal. International transfers shouldn't be allowed until kid is 18 and finished high school. With a 15-year old it's the parents calling all the shots and a lot of them just have $$$$ in mind.

Bleh. Ekstraklasa will never stop being a joke with all these ******* rich clubs poaching our local talent already at 15 years old.

The entire Tottenham squad is one big ongoing issue to be ******* honest. Even the last year's CL run was papering of the cracks that only gotten more visible this season. I don't see them going anywhere without a big investment and good luck getting that from Levy.
