Never rest him, he is a goal machine but I have found Evan taking him off early in games you are well a head in or leaving him out when playing a poor against a poor team as his fitness is low for the next 4 to 5 games he never gets a shot on target never mind score

Never had this issue myself, always managed to score reguarly for me from about 4 games into the season, except after returning from injury. That was with southampton in league 1

I have played alot of games in lower leagues and always happens, I have to keep him in no matter what. I have either really bad look or you got some good luck. Saying it tho he always scores much more than any one else in the league the lad is unreal
