Just thought I'd put this up, another club had wanted to see the back end to him. Does he not learn from his mistakes? What a waste of talent.

---

Adriano and Corinthians have parted ways after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

The former Inter and Roma striker's contract was due to expire this June, and the future had looked bleak for Adriano in any case after being accused of a lack of commitment by the club. Coach Tite recently stated that Adriano did not figure in his first team plans because "he has not trained as well as we would have liked" and "his work has no intensity, quality, dedication or application compared to the other players".

The strong words followed Tite's decision to omit Adriano from Corinthians' squad against Nacional last week in the Copa Libertadores as the striker's fitness levels had declined to such a large degree, and the club's patience has now finally run out.

"On Monday March 12, the board of Corinthians and the striker Adriano decided, by mutual consent, to terminate the contract between the two parties, which was valid until next June", a statement on the club's official website read.

"The next step will be for the player's representatives and the club's legal department to negotiate the details of the recission. Therefore, Adriano is no longer included as a member of the Corinthians squad and, as a result, is not required to present himself with the rest of the squad tomorrow".

The 30-year-old will now be on the lookout for a new club, and it remains to be seen what standard of club will be willing to take the big striker on. A successful spell with Flamengo resulted in a move to Roma in 2010, but Adriano proved to be nowhere near the quality required of a major European side and was released seven months into his lucrative contract.

After just less than a year wearing the colours of Corinthians, for whom he only managed a handful of appearances, his waning fitness and application on the training ground may put many clubs off the idea of giving him another chance.

It's a shame really. I think I remember reading that he just lost motivation to play after his father died. Last time I watched him play, he scored a dodgy goal in the Milan derby where he handballed it to control it.

No doubt he was a top class player, just a shame no manager could straighten him out.

It is sad. To go from reading things like Real Madrid offering 55m and then a straight-swap deal for Luis Figo, Walter Samuel and Santiago Solari, all who ended up at Inter anyway... to this, well. It's such a shame, and must be horrible for him to remember his heights at Inter. Also read he was a past alcoholic too. **** you alcohol.

Tragic, wasted talent the man was a god between 2004-2007

Nah, he's just forced his move to build a new "Empire of Love" in Flamengo. Adriano, Ronaldinho and Vagner Love.

Also, he's not alcoholic, he's a drug addict, if not a dealer at all. And no, that's not about he playing for Corinthians, there are photos of Adriano with rifles, posing with "gangsta signals". He's always in Rio, "drinking" in the favelas. Some months ago, a woman was shot inside his car. Before, he was investigated for "donating" vehicles for a wanted dealer's mother.

By the way..
CHUPA GAMBAZADA!
