Starting today alongside my other project I will attempt to win the Fifa world cup and Olympics with an African team. These are the teams I may be likely to try out in my campaign/challenge. This will be tough but I'm sure that it is achievable... I'll be posting screen shots of my progress

Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon, Egypt, South Africa, Senegal and Nigeria... Please follow as well as making suggestions for formations and players.

Starting campaign with Ghana (Reason being, that's my ethnic origin :p)

Analysis of team: Strong, very strong (literally) I will be employing a tactic that makes good use of their strength and technique on the ball. I'm also building it round Essien who I believe is our best player...

Vs Ivory Coast: Score Ghana 2 - 1 Ivory Coast, We showed a brilliant performance dominating the game and managed to secure 75% of possession at one point during the match. the goal that Ivory coast scored was a corner and I was surprised we didn't score more than just the 2... Promising results...

Pity Togo's not in FM, they played immensely against Brazil a few years ago, even though they lost 3-0. Those three times were the only times Brazil were on their half.

Were you talking about Ghana or Togo, cause I know we lost in World Cup 2006 against Brazil....
 
I tried a game with cameroon once, they were realy good and i won the african cup of nations and made the quarters of the world cup
 
Hmn, you should give Senegal a shot. Except Egypt, I´ve played with all the others mentioned, and Senegal was the most fun - with the likes of Niang, Diouf, Waigo, Diakhate ...

Isn´t it possible to load Togo players and manage them?
 
Are you dizzy? I'm sure it was Ghana plus I was rooting for them. Togo didn't even qualify and we went to knockout stages behind Italy in our group beating Czech Republic and USA to get there...
 
actually it was ghana i remeber now and fat ronaldo took it around the keeper to score:D
 
Why not South Africa? Steven Pienaar, Benni Mcarthy, Aaron Mokoena are all there. They made it to the semi- finals of the 2009 Confederations Cup to Brazil and only conceded in the last 8 mins thanks to a set piece, Lost 3 -2 to spain in the 3rd place play off, again spain had to score in extra time to get a victory. Plus they are hosting the world cup so you have automatic entry:)

Yeah, my mistake. That´s funny, I was almost certain we played against Togo ...
 
Just seen a guy in the under 21's and for a 19yr old he looks brilliant. Everyone check out Gyan King on the latest version/update of fm2009, anyone know what he is like in the future?
 
Go with ghana never heard anyone actually try to win the WC with GHANA
 
fat ronaldo broke the world cup record when he score that goal. i wud though go for ivory coast or coite d'ivoire or whatever it is.
 
Some of Brazil's goals looked a bit off (side) if you know what I mean... Aww Ghana ain't getting enough votes in my poll :( I guess it's to be expected, but then again we should at least be second :p ... By the way, sorry for my lack of uh... well the main thing, just doing my bit around the house :D I'll be starting soon and then I'll give you the low down in the first Post
 
Being Ghana is a good choice, seeing as you have a link there it should make you more committed to the game :)
 
Ghana is a though game - as far as I recall they got no good wingers.
