So Carlos Tevez is at it again, whinging about football and about retiring early

He apparently used this as his reasoning when talking to Tyc sports

"Football is only about money, and I don't like it. There are so many agents with really young footballers... it's awful, as these young players are not interesting in winning titles, they only want money.

I lold

I do however find it odd that he complains to the press about football but when he plays, he looks happy, celebrates normally and give his all

Its because he wants to come back to West Ham but he just can't face the fact that he's not good enough for us anymore.

poor tevez, if he doesnt want the money, he could send it all to me XD

Think you should shut up now, see your in the team in the championship next year!!! West Ham sucks!!!

If its that bad then ******* retire??? Millions of people would kill to be in the position he is in and he has alot of talent but if hes not happy then do one.

on the pitch he looks totally different, might aswell retire if he keeps moaning and go back to Argentina

I dont think its wrong to dislike something, i mean he is entitled to his opinion. However its extremely insensitive to the countless amounts of people who fail trying to reach even the lower side of Professional football. And to complain about the game just being about money and then joining Manchester City, well he makes himself look even more foolish and hypocritical doesnt he?

I agree with what Tevez is saying in that single sentence quoted in the first post. To the people who say he looks different on the pitch, it's not as if he's saying he doesn't enjoy football, he's saying that it's becoming too much about the money. Given the farce he went through with being owned by a third party and now being at Man City he has plenty of experience with financial complications and motives.

If he wants to retire, he can, other than the people at Manchester City Football Club.

Other than that, and despite having quite a biased view (admittedly) he should set a retirement date if he's had enough of it.

no you're just ignorant.

Wrong.

You say something sarcastic, I counter it, you enrage and call me ignorant for something that has very little reason for you to be annoyed.

"I don't want to play any more," he is quoted as saying in the Irish Examiner. "I'm tired of football, but also tired of people who work in football. I don't want to play any more, and I'm talking seriously.
"Football is only about money, and I don't like it. There are so many agents with really young footballers... it's awful, as these young players are not interesting in winning titles, they only want money. The young players think that they have won something in football because they have two mobile phones and a house. Today, there are many bad people in the football business, and you have to fight with them all the time. I'm tired of that too."

Tevez has launched a withering attack on the young players coming into the game. He said: "Today, the young players have no education at all, and I don't want to listen to them. When I played in Boca, when [Martin] Palermo or [Juan Roman] Riquelme talked, I listened to them. So I don't want a young player to tell me 'why did you do that?' in the dressing-room. I would punch him, as I have won 13 titles in my career.
"I'm going to play football for three or four years in Europe, then I will quit. I would play for Boca again only if my father asks me to do it, but I don't want to play in Argentina again. If you ask me, I would love to have my old life back in my neighbourhood of Fuerte Apache as I don't like my way of life today. "

"I don't want to suffer any more, I just want to be calm, I want some peace. But at the moment, football feels like a job for me."

Found a more complete version of what he said, I still agree that money is ruining football, whether its the over commercialisation of the sport or just the sheer greed that is rife throughout it. I don't agree with his stance on wanting out as it feels like a job, but it's his life and he's entitled to make his own decisions, and I highly doubt he'd be running into any financial issues if he did retire early.

But do you think someone who plays for a club who splurgs cash uncontrollably in wages and transfer fees (im not quite sure what his paycheck is but id imagine it being quite large) has the right to complain about the game being all about money. Yes Man United is about money, Yes Real Madrid is about money and yes any big team in Europe to a certain degree is about money but City have taken it to the extreme and tevez looks like a huge hypocrite in a team whose players pocket more in a month then some teams have in a transfer budget for a season

So in my honest opinion ill agree with his complaints when he reverses the last 2 years goes back to playing for a team like united and actually win some trophies

Of course he has the right to complain, he'll also have more experience into that side of the game which will make him want to complain all the more. If someone works at McDonald's do they have to love the **** they sell everyday with no right to complain about it?

In a few years Money will have taken over football, your going to see leaugue 1 and 2 players sold for millions, personally i think they should be a limit to if a club has money and how they use it, And your not allowed to get in debt.

No but when you are pocketing probably one of the highest salaries in Europe and then complaining about everything being about money, doesn't that even sound a little hypocritical?

Im not saying he has to love what hes doing, because everyone's been in a job they despise. But when your currently benefiting in a big way through what you perceive is the problem, aren't part of the problem? Therefore if your not gonna do something about it why complain?

Oh man the **** up, 99% of people would give anything to be in the position he is in.
