Championship formations/tactics?

Hi,
I'm currently managing Tranmere and managed to win League One and the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in my first season. I have been using Raikan's match engine exploit tactic and although it's very good, I would very much like to start to design my own tactics as tactics I have tried to make in the past haven't been the best (in different saves) , and so I'm asking for any formations which tend to do well against championship opposition and some tips on making the tactic.

When have limited recources, the Wide 42121, i-e a 451, is a really good formation. Here, its rather easy to get players with specific competence, like quick wingers and forwards, hardworking midfieders and perhaps one really creative MC.

I'm still having some trouble with tactics, first game I lost 6-2 away to QPR and the lost 3-0 at home to Derby :/
