Liverpool close in on Henderson

1. In terms of banter, Zebedee > Scott. Largely because his spelling and grammar are better and he got in there first ;)

2. Not that he's in any way up for sale but... what's Wilshere worth if Chris Smalling is worth £10m, Carroll £35m, Henderson £20m?

3. Scott - what has Henderson not making the full England squad got to do with anything?

1) I ignore that as your a gunner, You need all the help you can get.

2) Who gives a **** about Wilshere, He is worth more then Carrol, But Caroll isnt worth 35, so if it makes you happy, Wilshere is worth 35million.

3) Well Zeb said he be on people radars at the end of the summer, i fail to see that. When he cant even make the England Squad, no-one really cares about the youth teams, hence why people have pulled out.

4) Joss, Stay out of our discussion, Much appreciated ;)

Let's say it this way. Henderson is good for EL, no doubt about that. But, since we play in UCL, we need someone who is good enough for UCL and I doubt Henderson is good enough. So, I would pass on Henderson and Ash Young, and say hello to Modric and Sanchez ( who's moving to Barca at the moment ). British "talents" are so overrated and overpriced. I don't get it...

Lets go for it then Zeb..... I got an hour to spare.

Killing you inside is it, Your signings a boy hood red. The Kop loving one of our own, rather then yours. Groomed by a former Manchester United Manager and hero is cpatain marvel himself. Ouche for you guys.

Your club's whole existance is defined by Liverpool so this doesn't wash Scott - from bomb crater in an industrial estate to European Glory courtesy of a Liverpool captain. Another Manc supporting player to collect silverware at your expense is all good by me. Whelan wasn't that bad - had a habit of scoring at Old Trafford too.

The Young british talent to go into our midfield? I expect better from you, Like maybe just cause the Sun reckon we are signing him means nothing. Incase you havent heard, We made an approach for Ashley Young, and the Man wants Champions league football, something we CAN offer.

No idea about the Sun. Don't read it, haven't done for 22 years. Might want to check out the Guardian and Telegraph and Times for the past two years though. Serious newspapers, not the comics.

Then you come onto a topic of Value in the market. Something Ferguson likes to talk about, and Generally finds. Chicarito anyone? You know the 6millin pound man, Who was arguably the best striker in the league last season, Out shining a 35million pounds man and a 50million pound man.

For every Hernandez, a Hargreaves and a hobo. Nice of Roman to fund our January transfers though. We lose a player who wanted to move and got in a proven international who's already lit up the league and turned your hot prospect central defender inside out and we also gave Ashley more money to lose in casinos in return for the hottest young English striker in the country. Big ******* unit of a lad is he. When he grows up, I think he'll be massive.

Considering the keeper we have signed in the last 5 years have all been for under 5million( combined at roughly 8.5) i fail to see how you can say yet another young keeper.

Possibly because you're confusing age with price? How's the young Ben Foster doing? He's been young for years. Still in your reserves? Hot prospect though I hear. Potential England number 1. Bargain.

Why did Fergie not sign both, Simple really, There is better players out there, As we have Champions league( forget that European) football to offer, We can target the champions league Calibre players, Like Modric, Sneijdar and many others, Something you guys cant do.

Ah I see. You're signing the European elite in their prime rather than young players this summer. Hold on a minute... isn't that what Ferguson has said he wasn't going to do any more? I'm confused.

Then you bring up Anderson, Nice to see you noticed him play this season( when not injured) I have you know he has been adapted by Ferguson into a more driving midfielder, full of energy and he picked up his 3rd league title medal only 3 weeks ago, Not bad for a player, Liverpool Supporters, tend to ignore. Eh?

Yes Scott, you won the league. Well done. Everyone else was crapper than you lot. So how's Anderson doing? Playing well? Dominating midfields with that energy and drive? Impressing the Brazil staff with all his new found Mancunian skills? Off to the big summer cup tournament in South America to stake his claim as the integral part of Brazil's new midfield? You paid c.£18m for him and have had him, what, four years now? Five? How time flies. Natural heir to Keane? Maybe a bit of Scholes? Genuine prospect though isn't he? Lovely player. Heard he could have been an F1 driver too - talented.

Now you rumour, you heard from some guy on the street i take it, I have heard Sunderland ae interested in Gibson, Brown and Welbeck from us, With the first two being told to find new clubs by SAF. SO maybe your rumour " Source" has put 2 + 2 = i dno 135 by the sounds of things. I can assure you that Utd never made a formal bid for Henderson, Otherwise the PR men at Sunderland would of branded it around in the papers.

Just asking Scott. Just asking. No truth in it then? You can categorically deny it on behalf of your club that there wasn't an offer made to Sunderland? Notice you add in the weasel 'formal' there. Well, when is it formal and when is it informal? Is it informal if Gill makes a phone call but formal if he sends a fax? If he makes a phonecall whilst wearing a tie, does it then become formal? How about if he does it in full evening dress - that's got to be formal hasn't it? But you can categorically say it's untrue. Good stuff Scott. Glad to hear that there was no interest at all and no discussions on a Henderson transfer to Manchester United this summer.

End of the Summer, I suppose he did make the full england squad last week,, Oh Wait. Never mind.

Yeah, that bit was a tad retarded even for your trolling Scott so never mind is about right. :)

Oh, Thank you, I wondered how long until the Arrognant dellusional, " You live in our shadow" card would take.

Collecting silverware at my clubs expense, how about you fast forward 10 years, and remind us when you took anything at our expense. Oh thats right the mickey mouse cup, When a certain Kop hero scored the decisive goal and was a general menance, that wouldnt be the same hero who had to join us to get his hands on his first league winners medal this season would it?

Should i tell you something about those papers, that might make you think, The Times is written by the exact same journalist that write the sun. Did you know that, They Formalise there reading style and write under fake names, to target middle/ upper class people. Quite a neat trick really. And then your saying how do you know this. Try having a father who has spent 15 years of his life in the Industry.

All the papers get there " Information" from the same people, Just report it differently to target different audiences.

Turned our hot prospect inside out, I think your mistaken Chris Smalling for Wes Brown there. and i think in a one off game, Your judging someone.

And Andy Carrol, you over spent on. And again i didnt realise you signed Connor Wickham in Janaury, now i can tell you from first hand experience, He is a Unit and a tank, now when you get him, I would start bragging, not when you sign some geordie punk.

The young Ben Foster, Is currently playing for Birmingham Zeb, We sold him for 6million last season( made a 5million profit on the lad.) He is no longer our player. So i think for 1million he was a bargain.

[/QUOTE]

Your Confused because your mis informed, Ferguson is now signing players ready made, this summer. Hence was the original plan. 2 years ago, He said he would be making major moves this summer, hence he is. When he knew Scholes, VDS, Neville and others would need replacing

Oh that is Sour grapes, We where better then everyone else mate. We also made a Champions league final, You know. Anderson is doing really well actually mate, His career has been blighted with Injuries, but he looks to be over them, and actually is giving many midfields the run a round.

I never said there was no Discussion, but maybe they seen what most have seen, He isnt as good as the media or 20million seems to suggest. I think it becomes Formal when Utd lodge a bid for him.

Amazing Zeb.

Wow, Someone inlove, Can you nose get any browner ;)

Stop it with the pointless ****. Like the post - get on with it, no further comment needed.

Scott, your spelling hurts my eyes.

Nice signing for Liverpool in Henderson, looks like he will grow to be a quality player in the future. Under Kenny too he should be great.

Didnt you already like his post? Was there need for further *** licking no matter how good his post was.

could ask is there a need for your post?

Could argue there isnt a need for the last conversation, stick to the henderson transfer or go rip each other Via VM/PM/email/facebook/telephone/letter.

Can someone tell me how liverpool managed to offload N'gog onto sunderland?

sigh, why must you zoom me?

Interesting. Maybe Henderson's someone Kenny can mould into his type of player; a Javi Martinez on FM, if you will. Bit of a blank slate at the minute.

Dunno, does it mean you can quote properly? If so, maybe you should try it. ;)

Mike - I think Sunderland need a striker? Who have they got? Gyan, and Fraizer Campbell?

N'Gog might work well with someone pacey like Gyan. Or he might just be total ***** again

Think that's all they have, yeah.

I rate N'Gog. He's been brilliant in flashes, and his intelligence and reading of the game is good.

see thats kind of my point, they need someone who is proven. Unless they they think they can do with him what they did with welbeck

Aye I'll give you that, his movement is pretty decent too. Just been a tad unlucky at Liverpool, having to live under the shadow of Torres and that.

Maybe he will turn into the greatest striker that ever lived under the managerial prowess of Steve Bruce. Wow.

Guys cut the **** and stop arguing. Seriously off topic here. Anyway im not sure what to think of this, hardly seen the lad play but i dont think hes worth the £18-20M being quoted...

Edit: never seen the last 5 posts :)

such things happen when your quoting a large post and trying to do it in parts, happens to many poeple quite often actually ;)

Does this pave the way for Liverpool to go after another striker, Aguero maybe?

Btw, Anderson is quality, I'm sick of Liverpool fans saying otherwise. I'd love to see him get a proper crack at our first team, but unfortunately he appears to be a little injury prone.

aye but I think he has the quality to play for a Europa League club atleast and I hope he does well at Sunderland, had a unlucky spell at Liverpool tbh

Rumor is that Everton and Sunderland are trying to sign Welbeck on loan. It would be risky for Sunderland to go with Gyan and 2 inexperienced strikers in Campbell and N'Gog. Maybe they will try for Crouch...

why would they want another striker who would cost them potentially 40m which they are not going to cough up anyways and they already have 2 proven strikers in Suarez and Carroll so if Aguero comes, one of them will have to be benched which i doubt will happen

Good news is he wont be in Brazil squad so for the first time, yes for the first time in 5 years he will be having pre season with us. Would love to see him getting run of games. He was class above our CMs when was fit this season..
