Daniel Carter pictured with swans scarf when joining the swans in 2009

Sky Sports have revealed that Daniel Carter has ended speculation that he would leave Swansea at the end of the season after the team failed to make the premier league for a second year running, loosing at the playoff final by signing a new contract which will keep him at the club till 2013.

News has been growing over the last weeks that Carter would leave to join a team in the premier league after he was upset by missing out on the premier league big time for a second time.

Carter had added that he was deeply upset at missing out, but him leaving would only make things worse for the club and himself as he believes he has a job to finish at the Swans. Carter is a big Swansea City fan and admitted it would be hard to walk away from the south Wales side, but he did feel the players owed him a big season this year for all his hard work.

Huw Jenkins had made it clear that he was very happy with Carters decision and would make sure he worked hard to ensure success for Swansea.

Daniel Carter has the last smile as Swansea City send out a footballing lesson to the ex-swans team mates who left to join Wigan, after the swans smash athletic 4-1 at the DW stadium.

The Swansea fans could be heard all around the DW stadium this afternoon, after Ex-Swansea Manager, Roberto Martinez failed to win, let alone get any points off his former club and the chants could be heard all around, "Who Needs Roberto? We Got Daniel Carter!" is what was being sung.

Martinez joined to take up the Wigan job, and turned the club into turmoil by taking 2 key players in Jason Scotland and Jordi Gomez as well as all of the backroom staff with him, but The Swans had the last laugh this afternoon. The swans showed Wigan how to play football from start to finish, with key goals from Bogdanovic and Billy Sharp.

Swansea Take Chances Away At Scunthorpe

0,,10442~2851082,00.jpg

Swansea City today came victorious in a thrilling away encouter that finished 4-3. Great play from Swansea's strike force helped the victory and to claim an extra 3 points.

The swans travelled to Glandford Park to take on high flying Scunthorpe, with high expectations to make it 9 games unbeaten. The game looked to be a slow starter, neither side looking to go and get a goal until the swans put a bit more pressure on.

Through balls from Alan Tate and James Coppinger released the strikers each time, always looking to score until a counter attack led to a Scunthorpe goal on 30 minutes. The swans dealt with the goal well, piling the pressure on once again and it was that man again, David Goodwillie to add an equaliser 2 minutes later

The swans got some confidence and before half time, ex-doncaster rovers player, James Coppinger smashed home from 12 yards to give the swans a half time lead.

A Hat-trick from Adam Boyes on 53 and 82 minutes left the swans clinching onto a lead before Goodwillie claimed his second and Sharp grabbed the swans's 4th goal.

A good all round performance from the swans mean they are now 9 games unbeaten going into their next game against big rivals, and the south wales derby, Cardiff.

Really good story mate.

Btw,how do you get your pictures to be like that?

Thanks mate, and like what?

Swans Smash Rivals In Emphatic Victory

0,,10335~3695601,00.jpg

Cardiff City today left The Liberty Stadium feeling deeply ashamed by their fierce rivals after loosing 5-0. A Ian Hume hat-trick helped the swans with their victory and the swans have now moved up to 4th in the league.

A highly polished performance from the swans meant not only they would pick up 3 points against their rivals, but embarrass them at the same time. The swans went into the game full of confidence, after beating Scunthorpe 4-3 but would of never of expected to win by 5 goals.

However, The swans started brightly and by half time the game was all over, with 2 goals from Ian Hume and David Goodwillie scoring one meant it was 3-0 at the break.

The swans however came out for the second half, where Hume claimed his hat-trick and Goodwillie claimed his second for the swans to get a much needed and deserved victory in the South Wales Derby.

Swans Smash Portsmouth As Run Continues

article-1125323-032B2DF1000005DC-679_468x361.jpg

A highly polished performance from the swans this afternoon means they leave Fratton Park with 3 points intact and a 10 game unbeaten run to their name.

The swans were today victorious against ex-premier league side Portsmouth after beating them 4-1. Two goals each from Billy Sharp and David Goodwillie helped the swans on their way to 10 games unbeaten. A red card for James Coppinger almost put the swans victory in doubt, but a great performance meant they went on to score 2 more goals with 10 men.

Swansea have been playing above expectations for the last 2 seasons, and many people now believe they have established themselves in the championship and have what it takes to proceed to the premier league this year.
