Didier Drogba...his story

with the new season fast approaching i am preparing myself for what could be a big season for chelsea football club. i have some good competition for a starting place upfront this season with daniel sturridge nicolas anelka and new signing demba ba but i am comfident i can do good enough to be a regular starter. i dont expect to play much in the pre season friendlies as the manager will proberly want to try out new signing demba ba and youngster daniel sturridge. i am also pleased with our other signing young central midfielder jack rodwell. he looks like a very talented young man with a big future ahead of him. also young french star mamadou sakho has signed he also could have a big future ahead of him. well im off to training now to prepare for the new season.

pre season superstar...

chelsea 5-0 chelsea reserves

i did not feature in todays pre season game against the reserves instead i sat on the bench and watched but i didnt mind much as i got to watch a brilliant performance from the boys who did play but the one that stood out for me was daniel sturridge. he did very well and managed to bag two goals today the reserves defence couldnt get near him. also florent malouda did well today bagging a goal but unfortunately it looks very likely he will leave chelsea this summer. my fellow ivorian team mate salomon kalou did very well today bagging two goals he could have a big season ahead of him

19/7/09

nice 1-2 chelsea

again i did not feature and again sturridge did very well he bagged both goals for us today. the young lad is having a very good pre season scoring 4 goals in 2 games hopefully he can score goals as easily as this in the premier league

22/7/09

werder bremen 1-2 chelsea

i am glad i played the whole 90 minutes today but even though i scored our first i dont think i played well i couldnt get on the ball enough and was struggling to beat players. carvalho did well to score a good header from a corner late on to win us the game

24/7/09

dundee 1-9 chelsea

an amazing performance today from us we went goal crazy. im also very happy i bagged a hat trick and played much better then against bremen a couple of days ago. kalou also bagged a hat trick also our two centre backs terry and carvalho added to the score sheet and malouda who suprisingly is still as the club made it 9.

26/7/09

charlton 0-3 chelsea

another win in pre season for us and another goal for me. i feel i did good for most of the game but struggled towards the end. i think demba ba deserved getting man of the match today as he scored 2 brilliant goals and also set up mine he is looking like a very good signing.

28/7/09

cliftonville 0-8 chelsea

another amazing performance from us and i feel i did really well again bagging 4 of the 8 goals i was finding it too easy to outmuscle cliftonvilles defenders and create chances. malou also bagged 2 of the goals and demba ba and frank lampard finished it off.

1/8/09

southampton 0-7 chelsea

a brilliant way to finish pre season with a big win against southampton. i am yet again happy with my performance scoring two and getting two assists. malouda looks to have changed the managers mind in selling him with his brilliant performances in pre season he scored another 2 today. demba ba, john terry and alex completed chelsea route

chelsea 1-0 manchester utd

we did it! what a way to start the season by winning a trophy. all the boys played really well today we could of had more then one goal. demba ba did well to score very early on it was a good goal. i had a couple of chances and was unlucky to only hit the woodwork. i think this win is going to give all the lads a massive boost in confidence for the upcoming season. i just have a feeling this season is going to be a great one.

winning start...

15/8/09

west ham utd 0-2 chelsea

a winning start to the the season for us and my first goal of the season. i am happy that i got on the scoresheet along with joe cole but i still think i could of done better. i hardly done anything in the second half. there is alot of room for improvement at the moment

18/8/09

chelsea 1-0 stoke

we only just about won this game today. stoke were the better team in my opinion. we only won thanks to a last minute goal from ashley cole from the penalty spot. im not happy again with my performance today. i just couldnt get in the game and im surprised the manager didnt take me off at some point during the game.

22/8/09

portsmouth 0-2 chelsea

picked up an injury today and had to leave the field early. im not happy i have got an injury as i am very keen to impress the new manager. but not even this injury can stop me being happy we got all 3 points today. lampard smashed in a brilliant freekick from 25 yards and sturridge got his first of the season. im really happy for all the lads.

29/8/09

chelsea 2-0 birmingham

watched the game from the crowd today as i still havent recovered from my injury yet. but it seems the boys dont need me out there upfront when they have got daniel sturridge at the moment. the young lad had another impressive game and scored both goals. he looks like one of our key players this season. im so happy we ended up winning every game this month and happy that we are top of the barclays premier league. we deserve no less than this.

Me and some of the lads celebrating my goal on the opening day against west ham.

lool at the pic looks more like a lampard or ballack goal celebration but good start nonetheless
