Do youngsters stats go up when you send them out on loan?

Saw this brilliant youngster at flemengo at the age of 16! thinking about if i buy him and still keep him at flemengo for a season will his stats go up?
 
If he's playing reguarly then it will help his development
 
i think it depends how good the facilities are where they are playing, and they need pretty regular games :)

Yes, as long as he's not warming the bench. Also, the better the team he's on loan at is the more it will help. And make sure that they have decent training/youth facilities

If you buy him he can't move until he is 18. So he will stay at Flamengo until then if you buy him.

In the quick reply box there is a square icon (hover over them all until you find one called image). Click on that one then select your photo and select ok
 
On the development; I am more confident in sending players out if they say they will become 'a valuable first-team member' because you'd expect more playing time rather than if they are 'acting as cover to the first-team.'
 
As far as I can tell, stats to go up marginally when you loan youngsters out, but it my games it's never by a great margin.

For example, in one of my saves, I signed Sean Geddes from Walsall in my first season as Dundee United manager. He had a predicted ability of four stars (he was currently at one). So I sent him out on loan for two and a half of my first three seasons (first at East Fife, then Brighton, then Reading, before coming back and playing about ten games for me), and by the start of the fourth season, he'd only grown to by half a star.

I don't know why the growth was so little, as he was getting regular games at each club, and all bar East Fife were playing at a relatively good level. The only reason I can think of is that in those four seasons, I'd gone from a mid-table SPL side to regular in the CL knock-out stages, so maybe the star system has changed?
 
u could get him al right. but its in ur responsiblity to keep him good and have a high PA n CA.

if ur a will to let him play like some XI games, gradually over the years, then he could well be a classy player. but if u keep him in reseves for a long time, and only introducte him to XI team by 21-22 yrs, then his PA could get lost.

key thing, play with him alot at anypoint.
 
Looking at his appearance stats on that screen shot, he has only appeared off the bench 3 times? He's not even getting much game time there, maybe send him to a championship club or something.
 
if i do send him on loan to a club where he'll get games every week will his stats go up at the club his on loan at?
 
it depends where you send him or where he stays.. I have loaned out a lot of players over the past years in Fm but none of them come back remotely better than what they did before and trust me I know what I am doing..

some players increase a bit yes, for eg: I sent Diego Reyes and a few other great youngsters to Wolfsburg 2nd season after they got relegated and to CFR Cluj who are playing Champions League footie, my players barely came back better a few increases in stats nothing significant! but better....

it all depends, I have sent Markus Henriksen to Ac Milan for a 1 year loan deal (valuble member of the 1st team) and he has scored 2 in 2 for the 1st team and looks like he is already getting better...

I did this precisely to pump start his development as it was stagnating at Porto a bit...
