How longs a conditional work permit?

Signed a Brazilian in 09/10, loaned him out for two seasons, played in my second team for two seasons, when his contract was up i wasn't allowed to offer him a contract because he was denied a work permit, obviously this means that the conditional work permit he was granted expired, signing another Brazilian now in 2018, he has a conditional work permit, and this will obviously expire, will i have to loan him out for a couple of seasons to a work permit feeder club?

Conditional work permits last for the length of the contract.

The player must play a certain number of first team (and i think international games) during that time for a new contract to result in another permit being granted.
