SHOCK APPOINTMENT

Leyton Orient have today unveiled their new manager to be Lloyd
Lievens. This has come as a shock to many Orient fans as they
believe Lievens to be unqualified for the job. This is Lievens' first
managerial role in Football. Barry Hearn, the Orient Chairman, has
expressed he his delighted that such a young, ambitious manager
has been chosen to take the club forward.

Lievens is just 16 years of age but is already regarded as one of
the rising stars of football. He earned his first coaching badges at
the age of 13 and has progressed to earn the UEFA Pro License.

Lievens has commented, "I am aiming to take this club to Premier
League with in five seasons, and I will make this happen. My first
season in charge is about stabilising the team and making them
financially successful. From there anything can happen. I have
already met the players and have undertaken my first training
session. We have many talented players, but there are a few
pieces of deadwood which I will be looking to offload. This team
I have inherited is easily capable of maintaining our status in the
league, but I will be aiming for a top-half finish; at least."

It has been thought that Orient will need to strengthen their
front line this season as many pundits see them as week upfront.
It has been rumored that Lievens is interested in signing veteran
striker Tommy Mooney to add some strength to the team. The
ex Premier League defender Ben Thatcher has also been spotted
at the club's training ground.

This will be updated soon.
