This is probably common knowledge for most of you but I'm pretty new to the FM series. I'm half way through my first season with Athletico Madrid and I'm doing pretty well (5th place) but I've been wondering for sometime how the youth team works. How do I scout/sign new players to my U19 team, or are new generated players just added at the each of season?

Yes new generated players are added to your youth squad after each season it depends on how good they are tho different clubs have different youth facilities coaches etc etc.

Players called 'regens' as we know them are added. These are players that aren't from real life and a simulated and made up with random stats. Your youth facilities though will change how good the players you may get though, but sometimes you can have one amazing player even though you have an awful academy.
