FM 2010: What Do You Want To See?

i would like for the *** man to take care of opposition instructions

Another thing I would like to see is a improved and nicer looking tactics screen eg:

<img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_MWCLfhZKhWU/SiutGEHoS-I/AAAAAAAAB0Y/oaJiIQNaXdY/s800/SS-2009.06.07-12.43.jpg" />

Compared to the one now it's a thousand times nicer to look at and use...

looks amazing that, very sound idea

It's a Manager game. Those aren't the things you should be concerned with.

Exactly.

Like Sean i would like a new skin. I am getting very fed up with the current skin.

Also like AJW they need to bring back the decent arrow's.

Please oh please fix the match engine it is pathetic. Can never seem to hold onto a 2-0 lead for love nor money.

The press conferences are repetative dribble.

Tactical consistancy needs to be better

i think we should b able to type our own team talks instead of selecting them

and i think we should b able to select our sponsor

Now, proper suggestions:

BRING BACK SIDE ARROWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Team talks for players you are about to bring on? e.g. If you are going for the game and bringing on a striker, something like 'go and get a goal', 'shoot on sight etc', or if you arre defending a lead 'Don't be careless' 'Be sensible and time-waste', things like that.

Agree totally about having a word with players coming on.

Sarrows won't be brought back because how arrows work has changed. They used to tell the player where to be when your team was in possession - the problem is that the player moves there no matter what the circumstances were. The new match engine is more dynamic and based on player attributes. I'd much rather see more individual player instructions or a better way to control lateral movement - eg actual instructions (tick boxes?) for players to play 'wider' or more 'narrow' without the whole team having to play like that as currently.

Alongside more control of lateral movement, I want to see more committment to long-term playability from SI. The sponsorship system for lower league clubs is currently hotfixed because it wasn't working at all with smaller clubs never benefitting fully from successful periods via increased revenues from sponsorship.

btw - the tactics building interface in FMLive is what they are trialling to go into FM10.

I think sign your own shirt sponsor would be great and create your own stadium too i also like the idea of players faces shown on the tactics board

More tactical options, an updated manager profile screen (eg; so I can add Favoured Personnel to my profile like other managers), better 3D graphics. Yeh, that's generally it. Oh, and BRING BACK SIDE ARROWS BEFORE I COMMIT SUICIDE.

that wud be amazin!!

Football Manager will never have Premier League badges and faces etc... EA Sports own the image rights and it just wouldn't be financially beneficial for Sports Interactive to acquire them.

I don't think a quick sim option would be right for FM. I feel that if a player has to skip matches then they aren't playing the game correctly.

ok cheerz like you say jst n idea but cheerz

more realistic budgets for example u only get 1mil wit rangers?
also i agree a nice black skin and def the tactis changed the way sean said.

FIFA Manager is just silly, nobody really cares if they get an option to go and play some golf it's just retarded. If you want that in your game just go and play FIFA Manager.

no cuz its rubbish im jst sayin its smart how they thought of it youve obviously played before more than 1nce and the fact that you can have a son playin pro footy is a smart idea

Jesus Christ, if you want it like LMA, play LMA!! All of the above suggestions (all stupid by the way) aren't things that a manager does!! We get these every year-they will never be brought in cos its a management game! If you want those things, write to SI and ask them to make a game called Football Chairman or Football Chief Executive. Alex Ferguson and Rafa Benitez don't build expansions to OT or Anfield now do they? Nor do they have any kind of important say in who the sponsor is.

Now, proper suggestions:

I think it might be worth them changing the training again-I don't know, but I just find it hard to get into. Like it used to be maybe with morning sessions, practice games before a big game etc.

what are side arrows plz reply

who ever mentioned job interviews earlier, i think thats a brilliant idea, instead of just being offered the job, and interview system would be so much better, could give the deciding edge on whether you get the job ahead of someone else or not, but then again that might be repetative like the conferences

what are side arrows and sean i need help with 2008 real time modifier can you help me cheerz

Option to postpone a match if you have more than 3 players away with international team.
Maybe more communication with your players, especially the team captain. (Tell the captain to call a meeting to strengthen the relationship between players).
Option that says: "tell the players to have mutual breakfast" or something like that. Before big games. This could just be an option like "expand the stadium".

I would like them to stop adding 'features' (there is too many), and make the ones they have now work properly or get rid of them.

Also, I would rather they spent time making the game prosess ALOT faster. I am not sure how they could do this, but seriously, it has become such a slow game. Most of the time I am alt - tabing to something else while it 'proccesses'.

Over all, I think they should return to the over all simplicity and style of the much older games, the stuff they keep adding now has become tedious window dressing which can't be ignored.

When you create a manager and you have the option to have past experiences like:
Sunday league
Semi pro..... and so on
It would be nice to have a more in depth manger history, like having your managers player stats for the teams he had played for and how many appearances and goals.
Maybe choosing his old position, e.g Striker and now when ever you sign a striker he (the striker) will benefit more from playing under you and develop quickly.

Love this idea :D

1 - Improved database, for example it would be nice to have the REAL German and Japanese National Teams(although not likely to happen, Germany rights owned by EA, and Japan's owned by KONAMI). Or, the player that replace them should be available to transfer. One of the German strikers annihalated Italy at the World Cup, scored 4 goals, stats were brilliant aswell.

2 - Better skins. A dark skin with contrasting white/light colours, and also a light one aswell for those who like that sort of skin.

3 - Following the above, maybe a customizable skin, so you can adapt it to the user's needs. Being able to adjust the layout of certain pages would be nice, as some on FM09 are a little messy and unorganised.

4 - Request a new stadium. Stadium building isn't the manager's job, so this would be the next best thing. For example, I took Darlington to the Premiership, and had the smallest stadium in the top two divisions, and it was extended fully, so it meant I had less gate reciept money coming in.

5 - Would like to see bigger improvements on the 3-D match engine, maybe making the graphics better, aswell as some stadium effects, not just a grey shape around the pitch.

6 - lose the -10 PA, replacing it with a undetermined PA, meaning the player can be world class with the right training, or a flop with the wrong training. After all, I think there is around 10-15 original(not regen) players with a -10, and a few of those are already with big clubs.

7 - More in depth scouting

8 - the ability to sign players directly to a foreign feeder club, so you can surpass the Work permit problems found with some prospects in S America/Asia/Africa.

9 - Also, if you have a few leagues in your game(I have 18) maybe the game should only visibly process the results from the league that you are currently managing in. Sometimes, I have to wait 15 minutes for the results to go through.

This is what I would love to see, but FM2010 will be great.

i would like to see us being able to place a player anwhere on the pitch like in pro evo. not just the grid positions we currently have.

love the team talk option for subs coming on! think that wud make a difference

I want FM 2010 to take up less memory. It runs so slow on my laptop and I have installed a 2GB RAM :/

I don't want a yearly update,id rather a 2 year one so there are less mistakes with it and then just bring out update patches for it.This way the improvements will be bigger, better and more polished.

Not a bad idea except it would never happen due to money. They get their money from selling the game rather that releasing patches to improve it.
