Recently purchased FM2012 and am impressed as well as frustrated.
Started with Maidenhead in the BSN and managed to get them to 8th in the first season. Constantly bugged the Board for a feeder club, attempted to sign all manner of players from all leagues on loan - both with no success.
What I need help/advice with is creating a consistence tactic with the utter rubbish that Maidenhead and myself (Sunday League rep) can attract.
How to keep a tight back four but two up front that actually score goals?
I try and play the possession game so have slow, short passing with high timewasting. All positions apart from forwards set to hold up ball.
Defence - have short passing, hold the ball up and FB's cross often from deep but rarely make runs with ball
Wingers - Cross often, run from deep, long shots often, through balls often
CM - run from deep, long shots often, through balls often
Strikers - (main Problem area) set both as poachers. Long shots often, through balls often
Also, set a Target man as one of my forwards and play all balls for them to run on to as they have good acceleration and pace but naff finishing.
Any advice would be appreciated.
