Lords Of Football

In Lords of Football you take on the role of first team manager in a strategic game of exploration, creativity and balancing human resources. For the first time ever the gameplay sees you manage footballers in every aspect of their lives from time out socialising at the pub to team tactics and on-pitch performance.

You must create tactical strategies, keep press and supporters satisfied, track each footballer’s lifestyle habits, deal with the chairman's transfer market issues and much more. Lords of Football will demonstrate what effectively happens during the life of a club with all of the people involved.

The game promises a "fully explorable 3D world" and "face-to-face dialogue with your players" both in the 3D world and during matches

Haven't found a release date yet, but this game looks very good and very interesting.

Looks like its coming out on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Definetly going to get this when it comes out.

Anyone else heard about this?

Yeah looks mad, my mate told me about it yesterday, and he said you can go like the pub with them and they will like get in fights and get stupidly drunk. Then you get the Press and Fans berating you about it. One of the most realistic games I have ever come across.

Hopefully it comes round quicker than normal.
 
I'm anticipating a repetitive game that doesn't have that much depth with what you can actually do, but I'm a pessimist. Might just be the best game ever made.
 
Its not football Sims, they are just saying its going to be like a football version of the Sims, with how much you can do etc.
 
Looks really good, if it manages to attain realistic tactical set-up close t FM, might just be the greatest game ever made

cool concept

I think its a really cool new concept for the Football genre. But its all about the execution. If the game is able to give a great balance between on the pitch tactical and team control and off the pitch footballer lifestyle, it could really be something special.
 
What do they have to lose in trying this sort of game? No doubt they will profit off it as it is the first of its kind. I'll certainly give it a go and If I don't like it, it isn't the end of the world. Personally, I think it looks pretty good but as Redrup says, it could get pretty repetative, but which game isn't repetative nowadays?
