Yes iam back with ANOTHER story but this will be the best one till now. Blyth Spartans is mu local team who i support very passionatly and iam hoping to take success to the North-East coastal town. Evan though my good friend and fellow FM Baser 'Rollsie' as also recently made a thread, hopefully nothing will colide.

As Blyth are in the Blue Square North, my plan is to get them into League 2 in 3/4 seasons. This will be a hard target and if done could be added onto. I will start this story proply tommorow as i have already finished the 1st season.

Thanks, MichaelSoulsby :D

Didn't you do a Blyth one and you got offered the Watford job? Was that you?

If so i'll definatley follow!

May 2009
After following the end of the previous season, Blyth manager Harry Dunn has ran out of contract with the team and has desided to leave. This has came as a total shock to the board and local supporters. After an amazing FA Cup run which brought in funds to keep the club safe for the next couple of years, people expected him to stay. I will think that everybody at the club will want to wish him good luck to where ever he goes and very good health.

New Manager
With a job spare at Bltyh, they are going to need to fill in his spot as soon as possible. Rumours going around have mentioned former manager Michael Tait could be joining again. In the local papers there is an offical page to contact the club if anybody wishes to succeed as manager.

June 2009
The Blyth Spartans AFC would like to inform you of there brand new manager. His name is Michael Soulsby and hasn't had any experience at football coaching. This could be a mistake from the Blyth Board but they are willing to take a risk. Soulsby will take full charge next week after he is at college learning the basic's of coaching.

Blue Sqaure North :p

08.08.09 AFC Telford 0 - 2 Blyth Spartans Dale, Correia
Fantastic start to the season with a 2-0 win away from home. A huge booster crowd of 3112 came to see there team taken apart. The only set back is that captain Gareth Williams was sent his marching orders just after 8 minutes on the pitch. He will miss the first home game against Southport. Robbie Dale took the lead after 19 minutes which gave Blyth a confidence boost. After a half time team talk Blyth was straight back in the Telford half and doubled there lead from a goal off Albano Correia on 55 minutes. Telford didn't try hard enough and Blyth traveled the long way back up to the north with three points. :D

11.08.09 Blyth Spartans 1 - 1 Southport Correia
Not the worst game i ever seen as Southport earn a draw at Croft Park. Blyth did go do to 10 men again within the 10 minutes of the name of on loan defender James Taylor. Southport did take the lead on 24 minutes but new signing Albano Correia hit the back of the net with 8 minutes to go. With Blyth fans leaving happy i guess i can say Blyth will take this point and carry on to the next game which will see Redditch coming to the North East.

15.08.09 Blyth Spartans 2 - 1 Redditch Brayson, Harrison
Blyth are really lucky to get all three points today with an added time penelty which was converted by right back Steve Harrison. After coming back from suspention, Gareth Williams returned to the squad as captain. Paul Brayson opened the scoring on the 34th minute with a placed effort. As they game went on, it looked like Blyth would have taken all three points but from Redditch striker Richard Ball made it one all with 9 minutes of time to go. The Blyth fans didnt look to happy but with 4 minutes added time they got a penelty which was scored by Steve Harrison. A very close shave but all three points go to the Spartans :D

18.08.09 Farsley 2 - 1 Blyth Spartans Homes
Farsley Celtic, who had been deducted 10 points before the start of the season have beaten Blyth Spartans today. Blyth did take an early lead from a headed effort of Ashely Homes on 8 minutes. Farsley then equalised on 27 minutes from midfielder David Syers. Later in the second half Farsley took the lead by Kyle Bassets goal on the 69th minute. Blyth couldn't do anything from this and took the defeat home with then. Not the kind of game that manager Soulsby will want to remember.

Next update following soon

Blue Square North

22.08.09 Blyth Spartans 4 - 4 Corby Alexander, Correia2, Gillies
Best scoring game that has been to croft park in years. Blyth played really good today but as doing well upfront there defence lacked by considing 4 also. John Alexander opened the scoring after 38 minutes. Gavin Stracken then equalised 4 minutes later. After the half time break the teams looked up to some decent footbal and first to crack was Corby. Albano Correia finding the net gave Blyth the lead. Then Albano found another and the game looked like it had been won. Evan more for Blyth as youngster Josh Gillies got his 1st senoir goal in football. At this stage Blyth were 4-1 up but the defence grew tired and got lazy. Gavin Strachan got his second of the game to make it 4-2. Striker Mark Stallard caught a lazy Blyth player down and scored a easy goal which made it 4-3. With Blyth's defence looking dodjee and Soulsby out of subs, Blyth fans were hoping that they cold hold on for a win but that wasnt the case. Corby striker Stallard got his second of the game on the 87th minute. It was heart brake for the Blyth fans and players as they had a three goal lead which they just lost. Full time went. 8 goals but only 1 point for each team.

29.08.09 Hyde 1 - 2 Blyth Spartans Correia, Gillies
A solid away win for Blyth as they travel home with all three points. They came to Hyde after signing a new player during the week. Ryan Scott had joined from Farnborough for free but back to the game :D. Blyth took the lead just before half time from Albano Correia. Second half came and Blyth doubled there lead on the hour mark from Josh Gillies. Hyde didnt really coused a threat but they didnt get a goal from nowhere. Neil Tolson scores but Hyde dont stand much chance of winning today and dont. Full time with a Blyth win on the end of it. :D :)

31.08.09 Blyth Spartans 4 - 0 Droylsden Brayson 2, Webster, Homes
Blyth hammer Droylsden as they score 4. That will be the talk over Blyth fans after todays game. The 1st goal came after 14 minutes from Paul Brayson. Adie Webster added to the score after 28 minutes to make it 2 nile. Paul Brayson then got his second just before half time. Blyth were ob fire and Droylsden couldnt do anything about it. Second half began and after 68 minutes, defender Ashely Homes made it 4. Blyth Spartans looked like they could score about 10 more but they didnt as they got tired and defended there goal. Droylsden were well and truley beaten.

05.09.09 Eastwood 4 - 0 Blyth Spartans
Well Blyth have been well and truley hammered by a poor side. Eastwood really played well and deserved there win as the Blyth players just didnt preform. With goals from Ryan Whitehurst, Dion Chambers and two from Peter Knox. The crowd wasnt the best either of 129. This will haunt Soulsby for a while

Next games tommorow

08.09.09 Vauxhall Motors 2 - 0 Blyth Spartans
Blyth have lost a game which they should of won. Vauxhall played really well and caught Blyth on a bad form. This is the second time in a row Blyth has lost a really need to be picking up more points if they are going to stay in a high position in the league.

12.09.09 Blyth Spartans 3 - 1 Solihull Moors Dale, Correia, Webster
Good home win over a poor Solihull team. With a three goals difference, Solihull didnt stand a chance of coming back into the game. They did score a goal which took Blyth's clean sheet off them but that was with a good win the in bag.

19.09.09 Gloucester 0 - 2 Blyth Spartans Brayson 2 Correia
Paul Braysn stole nthe show today scoring both Blyth goals.Blyth looked like losing until 87th minute and winning it in added time. Paul Brayson will treated like a hero with the Blyth fans today and well deserved. Cant get much closer to losing but still won though. Striker Albano Correia saw red though which will see him suspended for the FA Cup game.

26.09.09 Ramsgate 1 - 2 Blyth Spartans Graham, Williams FA Cup
Blyth go throught to the next round after just beating a strong Ramsgate side. Ian Graham scores to give Blyth a slight lead and captain Gareth Williams makes sure of a possitive half time team talk at 2-0. Ramsgate did pull a goal back but it wasnt enough to see out a possitive Blyth team.
Blyth now have either Alfreton or Hungerford.

Next Update Whenever

Just got blyth promoted to L1 after 4 seasons, aiming to be in the premierleague by 10 seasons

Blue Sqaure North - Edition 4

03.10.09 Blyth Spartans 2 - 2 Alfreton Correia, Graham
A good game to watch today as neither side could take all three points. Both teams led at separte times during the game and couldn't be separated at the final whistle. Alfreton took the lead on 32 minutes. After half time Blyth came out looking to get back into the game and did after 50 minutes by Albano Correia who had just came back form suspention. 4 minutes later Blyth took the lead with on form striker Ian Graham. It went quiet for a while but Alferton pulled back on 77 minutes which made it 2 all. Nobody looked like scoring after that and it ended as a draw. Both teams will be happy with the point.

10.10.09 Hungryford 0 - 1 Blyth Spartans Todd FA Cup
Blyth have went through to the 4th qualifier round after winning against non-league Hungryford. It took only 1 minute for Blyth to open the scoring on a counter attack whoch led to Simon Todd scoring his first goal of the season. The score didnt change as the game went on a finished as a poor game with nothing much happening. Blyth will take the win and move on to more difficult away tie to AFC Wimbledon.

17.10.09 Blyth Spartans 1 - 0 Hinckley Brackstone
Blyth had a good day today beating on form side Hinkley. The only goal was scored by a penelty taken by John Brackstone just past the half hour mark. Leading to the penelty Hinkley player Connor Franklin was shown off the pitch because of the tackle he made. All three points go Spartans way.

24.10.09 AFC Wimbledon 3 - 1 Blyth Spartans Williams
Blyth have been knocked out of the cup by the better side as they lose 3-1. Blyth did take the lead from captain Gareth Williams freekick from the edge of the box. They went in at half time leading but after the breakit all fell apart. Wimbledon pulled a goal back and it gavethem the confidence to score more. They took the lead on 75 minutes and then made sure of the win with three minutes to go. Blyth will be traveling the long journeyhome knowing that they wont be continuing in the cup for this year any more.

Next Update will be following after next comment.

Some decent results there :D

Where are you in the league

Blue Square North - Edition 5

27.10.09 Stalybridge 2 - 0 Blyth Spartans
Yet again the moral in the squad goes down after losing a game and they dont perform well. Stalybridge scored just after 3 minutes which really set the tone of the game. They got there second in the second half on the 50 minute mark. Blyth just didnt play well today.

31.10.09 Blyth Spartans 2 - 0 Ilkeston Dale, McCabe
Blyth have bounced back from there mid week defeat and win against Ilkeston. Blyth had to wait till 58 minutes by Robbie Dale. 12 minutes later Chris McCabe doubled Blyth's lead and make it 2-0. Blyth had taken conrol and held out until the end of the game. Good for Blyth and anther 3 points.

04.11.09 Northwich 1 - 2 Blyth Spartans Dale, Homes
Blyth have won a game which i would have expected a defeat. Blyth took the lead after 28 minutes from Robbie Dale. Just before half time Ashley Homes added to the score with a fab headed effert. Blyth going strong at half time. But straight out and they grab a goal back to make it 2-1. The score held like that until the end of the game with a really good away win for Blyth.

11.11.09 Blyth Spartans 0 - 0 Eastwood
Poor game was neither team opening the scoring. Blyth gave a debut to there new signings. Striker Sean McKenna and right back Luke Danville started and centre mid Jason Sheehan was on the bench. Manager Soulsby isnt doing that bad making these good signings. Hope they do well for us.

Next Update Maybe tonight
