Updated my FM09 to V5 a few weeks ago and started with Newcastle United in the Championship.
Heres a run down on how each season went and where I'm at so far.
Competitions
2008/2009
Won Championship (119 points - lost one game)
2009/2010
Finished 8th in Premier League after having a media prediction finish of 14th
2010/2011
Finished 9th in league - a step backwards
2011/2012
Finished 5th In League and qualified for next seasons Europa League
2012/2013
Made it to the 2nd knock-out round of the Europa League and lost to Everton 4-2 on aggregate after a shocking 3-0 defeat away from home in the first leg. Finished 4th in the league with 72 points qualifing for the Champions League qualification rounds next season. Best season so far.
2013/2014
5 weeks from first league game and I've been handed a tough draw against Villareal in the Champions League qualifying round. They were beaten by Everton in the Europa League final last season.
