I'm using a 4-2-3-1 with two regular MCs and wingers. The philosophy is very fluid with attacking strategy. I'm currently employing a default marking system with closing down being set to "press more".
The questions I have:
1. What is the best type of marking to have with "press more" closing down?
2. If I use a man-marking system throughout my team will it restrict my attacking players in any way? I ask because I've read that man-marking can cause attacker to stick to close to the opposition defenders and as a result causes them problems with finding space when the team has regained possession of the ball. Is there any truth to this?
