Hello all. I started watching soccer in 2006, the World Cup. I got hooked. I did play as a kid but American youth soccer is incredibly boring so I dropped it as soon as I was old enough to play tackle football. If I had known how interesting the game gets at higher levels I would have stuck with it.
My first FM was FM 2007 and I was horrible at it. I have FM 2012 now and will be buying FM2015. I'm a little bit better at the game now. I lurked in a couple of forums when I first started playing FM but didn't bother joining because I didn't understand the game well enough at that point to understand the conversations. I'm much more comfortable with the game now.
I play rec league soccer now, it's a fun way to stay in shape and next spring I'm scheduled to test for my qualification to officiate high-school soccer games. I'll be testing for baseball too.
I lurked here for about a week and decided to join because there are a lot of good posts and information here.
