Scotland have appointed ex international Daza Sneddon as their new manager after George Burley resigned. After only an hour in the hotseat he sacked Terry Butcher,Steven Pressley and Tommy Mclean and replaced them with Archie Knox as assistant and Stevie Frail as coach. He said ''Scotland haven't qualified for a tournement since 1998 and as I have came in with only 3 games left in the World Cup Qualifying group and we need at least 4 points to have any chance of getting into the play-offs so I am not bothered if we dont get to South Africa. My objectived are to win some friendlys and get to the Euro 2012.''

Sneddon picked his team for the game against Norway.
