Shock waves were sent through Manchester today as both Roberto Mancini and Alex Ferguson walked out of their jobs as Manchester City and Manchester United respectively. Mancini walked out of his job due to bad feeling between him and the owners. They apparently were going behind his back about transfer targets so he decided it was time to leave the City of Manchester Stadium after just one week in charge. At the other side of Manchester Alex Ferguson walked out of Old Trafford under good feeling after finally announcing his retirement.

New managers were quickly appointed in Manchester this afternoon. Relatively unknown English coach Daniel Oakes was announced as the Manchester City manager at 3pm today. He had this to say '' I am delighted to have the chance to become part of the Manchester City revolution and look to take them to new levels''.
At the other side of Manchester there was a bigger shock as to who was announced as manager. He was introduced to the fans as the legendary Edison Pele! He had this to say ''I am errrr verry appy to become a part of a great football cloob and I look forward to driving Daniel Oakes out of Manchester!''.

So with all that said and done, who will be more successful?

Manchester City 0-3 Real Madrid City of Manchester Cup semi-final
Manchester City 1-0 Palmeiras Bellamy
Bury 0-5 Manchester City Dzeko, Robinho(3), Wright-Phillips
Oldham 1-4 Manchester City Robinho, Wright-Phillips, Toure, Dzeko

Although playing against very weak opposition, I am very happy with our friendly results. Apart from a defeat to Real Madrid we won all of our other friendly results and showed we are in great goalscoring form going into the new season.

These are the transfers I have made as Manchester City manager in the first transfer window:

I am delighted at the transfers I have made in this window. I have used the monthly installments method for buying some players for the sceptics! I am very happy with the signing of Jack Wilshere as I believe he will spearhead the long term future of this club. The sales of Petrov and Garrido were in both parties best interests and this is the reason they left the club.
