Yep I have had my copy pre-ordered for months already on Steam. Luckly the release date falls in a two week break from Uni :D

I got Portal for free ages after its release (steam deal) and I didn't really like it so I doubt I will get his, despite my friend trying to convince me. Although its quite cool you will be able to play with people on the PS3

For those of you who have pre-oredered via Steam, in case you hadn't noticed, the game is available for pre-loading.

Just found this.

Valve... What is this? Early release? (A)

Edit: Updated OP with the unlock time for Steam. Whether or not this is still correct remains to be seen...

I know, imagine having to use your brain eh?

I can't wait, I love Portal. Co-op with Lee

Nom nom nom <3 Portal ftw.

Can't wait.

I wouldn't bet on the early release. Incase anyone's wondering where that countdown has appeared from enjoy.

Well, I can dream. I'm almost finished pre-loading :)

I haven't been looking forward to a game this much in a while... And it is a puzzle game. That is a testament to how great a developer Valve is.

Portal <3

Will undoubtedly be getting this. Probably not going to be able to multiplayer immediately, but when I get some money together I'll make the purchase.

what moron thought it would be fun to have to think in a game? :p Joking of course

Want to unlock Portal 2 on Steam ahead of its published 22nd April launch date? Then you'd better get stuck into the Potato Sack indie bundle.

The Valve countdown clock reported earlier today has hit zero, revealing a new page stating "Portal 2 Steam systems offline. Computing power required for launch."
To force an early release it seems you'll have to go and play the various Potato Sack titles until a "computation" bar has filled up.

At the time of writing, another countdown clock projects the game will unlock on Steam in 93 hours and 30 minutes. If you want to speed things up, you'd better check out those indie games.

For the uninitiated, the Potato Sack includes 13 indie titles: 1... 2... 3... KICK IT!; AaAaAA!!! – A Reckless Disregard for Gravity; Amnesia: The Dark Descent; AudioSurf; BIT.TRIP BEAT; Cogs; Defense Grid: The Awakening; Killing Floor; RUSH; Super Meat Boy; The Ball; The Wonderful End of the World and Toki Tori.

It's available now for £27.22 via Steam.

Play indie games, get PC Portal 2 early News - PC - Page 1 | Eurogamer.net

tried to get my g/f to play Portal Demo the other day. She loves puzzle games and ****.

She didn't get past the 2nd task...kept whining about how she can't do it and it's too hard to control.

I was like wtf, you always play brain teaser games, so USE YOUR BRAIN and move through a 3d puzzle FFS.

Loved Portal 1 so much <3 Pre-ordered this with HMV. ;D

Hmm... I would get the Potato sack, one to get Portal 2 early and also because I have been meaning to buy a couple of the indie games in the pack anyway, but I'm a bit short on cash ATM... :(

Ah, life is hard as a uni student :p

In case you don't know what I'm on about: Zoom

Ok, the game just unlocked. My files are being decrypted as I... er... type.

Edit: My decryption keeps getting cancelled because the servers are too busy...

Edit 2: Been playing for about half an hour now. It is very good so far :) And my computer is handling it better at the highest settings than I thought it would :D

My computer struggles on high, had to lower it a lot.

Loving the game though, Smerch is a lot funnier than I was dreading.
