Zdeněk Zeman has resigned as the Manager of Delfino Pescara and has taken up the vacant post at AS Roma. Zeman guided the Biancazzurri to their second Serie B title last season and guided them back to the top flight only for the sixth time of their history.

To everyone's surprise, the former Italian international Fabio Cannavaro has been appointed as the manager of Delfino Pescara. He has left the post as the Technical Consultant of the Dubai based club Al Ahly, and will take charge of the Biancazzurri for the 2012-13 season. Cannavaro captained the Italian national side on their 2006 World Cup success and won the Ballon d'or in the same year for his performances on the field.

The President of Delfino Pescara board is said to be a huge fan of Cannavaro and has mentioned that he believes Cannavaro's footballing knowledge and character will help them to survive from relegation and cement their place in Serie A. This is the first time that Cannavaro will try his hand at management, and all eyes will be on him to see how he will do on the touchline.

Good luck mate, started with Pescara myself and surprisingly having a brilliant start. Look forward to seeing who you manage to sign with the limited funds.
