Recommend me an Xbox 360 Game

Like FM-Base ive not touched my xbox in 18 months - 2 years and as the winter months roll in I wouldn't mind playing something again. I'm not looking for any specific type of game although I would like something that doesn't have a massively high skill level, or at least not a game thats not all about reactions eg COD. Also the game has to be relativily cheap, so probs something thats been out for at least a few months so I can buy it second hand easily. Id also prefer a game thats good single player as I dont see myself atm buying xbox live unless I get hooked.

you are in luck, Demons Souls was Ps3 exclusive now Dark Souls have sold their souls to Xbox! best game you will ever play in your life, the hardest ******* game ever made but when you take the time to play it and understand it it just gets even better! well Demons Souls (currently playing) Game of the Year contender :)
 
Think I might get a Lovefilm subscription for a few months as its like the same price as buying one new game, anyone know of any Lovefilm deals at the moment?
 
Crackdown / Crackdown 2. Free roam game set in a city. Pick up cars and lob them at people, climb buildings, drive cars shoot people and blow them up. Very cheap at around 5 quid and simple to play. Also has co op online

The Darkness - Shooting game with some twists in the way of powers, also a good story line. Based on a dark comic I think. Also cheap as ****. Easily under £10 I'd say. One of the rare games I actually play until the end!

Dark Sector, Another cheapy! (under £10) Pretty good 3rd person shooter with Gear of War style controls. You also have a cool glave thing, basically a bladed boomerang you can control through the air to aim at heads and arms!

If you're willing to wait and buy a game new then wait for Batman: Arkham City. Looks sick! Comes out in less than 2 weeks.

By cowinkydink Raikan, 20 mins after eading your post I was on the bus reading the Metro, it had a review of Dark Souls (or its sequel, not sure it mentioned both) and the first sentence was like this game (or its predecessor or successor) is absolutely nails.
 
Demon's Souls was awesome. Dark Souls will be awesome.

Just get that.
 
if you're looking for a cheap, good single player game that's been out for a while, get Arkham asylum b4 city comes out, cannot recommend enough.
 
I got Final Fantasy 13 a few days ago for a fiver, its highly reccomended. Not as good as 7/8 but still good gameplay and a few hundred hours of enjoyment.

And if racing games are your thing maybe try Forza 3 or Midnight Club LA. All 3 of those should be available for about a tenner :)

In the end I went out and bought FIFA (looking for some help herel) & ive signed up the the Lovefilm free trial so ive qued up some of the recommendations youve all given me.
 
I'm thinking Gears 1 and 2, Mass Effect 2 and summat that doesnt involve pew pewing (again suggestions welcome)
 
Mass Effect is meh, far too many tediously long cut scenes, especially near the beginning.

GOW is alright.

Toy Story 3 pwns as does Batman Arkham Asylum, then as suggested Arkham City is out soon.

It's a story, you get cut scene's.
