Recommendations for great DM?

I already have Lars Bender, but I pretty much want somebody better. He is sadly the weak link in my team, not that's he's bad just not as good as the others. I'm currently in 2019 and team is as follows:

GK Rulli
LWB Baines/Ricardo Rodriguez
CD Stones/Goncalves (regen)
CD Balanta
RWB Miftari (Regen)
DM Bender
CM Pogba
CM James Rodriguez
CAM Mario Goetze
ST Lukaku
ST Fierro
 
Lucas Romero or Victor Wanyama (my favorite). But you'd be hard pressed to find someone much better then Lars.

I did have Strootman, got him on a free but sold him. Any idea how much Lucas Romero costs?
 
The best DM ive used in fm15....Diego Poyet from West Ham hes brilliant!!

Is that a typo? Because Lucas Romero should only cost 7m pounds at the beginning of the game. Another good DM is Lucas Silva who has a strong long shots ability. Romero is still better overall imo. But I like having them both to rotate during busy weeks.

No typo mate, he costs £7million at the beginning yes but not in 2020 which is when I bought him. I would have got a regen but no incredible ones out there for DM.
