Cheers, I think Parma just doesn't really have enough money to get these post-match analysis stuff done :D oh well, maybe for later on in the save when I'm in the Serie A... Good luck with ManU :)

Cheers mate, you too with Parma

PREMIER LEAGUE MATCH DAY 5 -

MANCHESTER UNITED V WEST HAM

View attachment 121211
View attachment 121210

Manchester United fans will be dying for a win. The team are mid-table and no where near where they intend to be come the end of the season. If they don't get a win in this match then some will start to think that their title ambitions and Champions League qualification could start to be in question. Mason has worked with his coaching staff and has tweaked the formation and the style of play. The United manager had come into question for sticking with only one formation and style and he has now decided to mix things up a bit, something the fans will be pleased about.

West Ham could also do with a win as they sit only a few points above the relegation zone. Irons manager Slaven Bilic is struggling to get the best out of his players... Dimitri Payet, Manuel Lanzini and Simone Zaza have all under-performed this season so far and it will be up to Bilic to change this.

View attachment 1085382This could just be the match where the penny has finally dropped when it comes to Mason, his tactics and his players performance. Mason has adopted a less attacking shape by bringing his wingers back into the MR/ML positions and by utilising his wing backs to overlap. This worked well against a sloppy West Ham side who looked dreadful throughout the game. Ibrahimovic scored from the spot which galvanised the Red Devils. Paul Pogba tapped home from a Juan Mata cross before the Spaniard scored his own goal curling a shot low into the Irons goal. It was Henrikh Mkhitaryan who rounded off the scoring with another tap in late on to make the full time result 4-0.

View attachment 121205A dreadful game which leaves Bilic biting his nails as his team hover precariously over the relegation zone at present. Mark Noble was guilty and lucky not to be red carded for bringing down Memphis in the penalty box. Dimitri Payet was quiet throughout and the whole team barely turned up. West Ham will hope to snap out of their poor form soon or concerns and pressure really will mount up against the Irons manager.

Second match in a row for Juan Mata who's performances just keep getting better and better. Mata was seamless with his buildup play and was accurate with everyone of his passes. He set up Pogba's goal and scored one himself.

EFL CUP THIRD ROUND -

MANCHESTER UNITED V EVERTON

View attachment 121098

Manchester United V Everton a fixture which keeps on occurring. Firstly it was Rooney's Testimonial which the Red Devils won 1-0 then it was a Premier League game which ended 2-2 and now it is the EFL Cup Third Round tie which see's these two paired with one another. Tobey Mason would like to think he has the better of Everton and Ronald Koeman as he remains unbeaten against the Dutchman and the Toffee's but as we all know the EFL is a different world to the Premier League and can always throw in a banana skin match.

View attachment 1085513A different set up in this match as Mason rung the changes for this EFL Cup match. Ro-Shaun Williams was even given his debut at the back alongside Eric Bailly. The youngster looked decent and could find himself on the cusp of the first team in the ensuing weeks. United dominated the match and Ander Herrera got The Red Devils their reward in the thirty-first minute with a delicious shot which hit the post and ricocheted into the Everton goal. Zlatan grabbed the second goal after Rashford picked up a slight knock toe poking in a Jesse Lingard cross.

View attachment 121092 Ronald Koeman fielded a relatively strong Everton side but you couldn't help but think that this competition is more of a nuisance than a target for the club who looked disinterested throughout this match. Everton's best chance came via a Yannick Bolaise cross which Lukaku powered towards goal but only met the United goals crossbar and cannoned back out towards United safety. Koeman can now concentrate on the league after losing this 2-0

Bailly was an enforcer at the back in this match. Everything that came towards United's goal the Ivorian stopped or cut out. His passing was top notch and his general link up play was impressive.

EFL CUP THIRD ROUND RESULTS

View attachment 121070

The biggest shock of the Third Round has to be Chesterfield beating Premier League Champions Leicester 2-1. Claudio Ranieri will be embarrassed by that defeat and alongside their poor form in the league could be struggling to gain the fans confidence at present. Arsenal at the Emirates were also dispatched by a strong Stoke side but it came down to Penalties. The Gunners will be smarting from that defeat. Southampton were beaten by Spurs with Claude Puel's team not looking at all confident in beating the London club on Penalties. Liverpool comprehensively beat Huddersfield 6-0 while the other Premier League heavy hitters also progressed but Man City did get taken to Penalties by Shrewsbury.

SUNDERLAND V MANCHESTER UNITED

A trip to the Stadium of Light where Manchester United will be hoping to claim a further three points in the league today. David Moyes' team are languishing nearer the bottom end of the table and are going to have to start getting a few more points on the board or else they could be sucked into the relegation battle. The Black Cats fans are really up for this though and the atmosphere inside the stadium is electric.

View attachment 120902 Sunderland looked decent in this game. They never let Manchester United dominate the game and will feel aggrieved to have lost this game. David Moyes would have loved to have got one over on his previous employers but it wasn't to be. The Black Cats fans did wonder if it was to be their day after Wahbi Khazri levelled the match but Sunderland lost concentration and let a second go in.

View attachment 1085731Wayne Rooney will have some explaining to do to his manager and team mates after he rashly hacked down Jan Kirchoff in the twenty-sixth minute. This saw him get red carded and Man Utd down to ten men. Luckily Zlatan did manage to score a looping header past Vito Mannone in the Sunderland goal and then Pogba scored late on, however Sunderland were extremely unlucky not to get more from this game.

Pogba scored the winning goal today. After Rooney was sent off for a stupid red card it left Pogba with double the workload in the middle of the park. The Frenchman performed well and deserved today award.

Manchester United travel to Cyprus for their next game in Europe. AMO Apollon Limassol are the underdogs and expected whipping boys of the group so The Red Devils are expected to easily clinch the three points in this game. Tobey Mason will probably rotate and give some of his fringe players a chance in this game to keep some of his first team regulars fresh for when they next play in the Premier League. Expect Goals!

View attachment 120881AMO Apollon Limassol played extremely well against one of Europe's top teams. The fans and their manager Pedro Emanuel can all be proud of the Cypriot team who held their own against The Red Devils. Abraham Guie Guie nearly scored too and would of done if it wasn't for some fine goalkeeping by United's No 1.

View attachment 1085756A rusty looking United arrived in Cyprus probably expecting an easier game than the one they got. United looked far too patient on the ball and at times looked somewhat lethargic. The id week games maybe already starting to take their toll on some of the United players. Tobey Mason will have his work cutout for him when rotating his team for future games.

Matteo Darmian scored the only goal of the game to give United the vital three points in this match. The Italian scored a diving header from a floated Jesse Lingard cross. He also made some key tackles when Apollon Limassol were attacking.

PREMIER LEAGUE SEPTEMBER OVERVIEW

View attachment 120595
View attachment 120587

Pep Guardiola's Manchester City sit atop of the pile at the end of the month of September. Chelsea slip to second and Southampton move up to third. The only two unbeaten sides follow in fourth and fifth with Manchester United and Bournemouth occupying those positions. Arsenal sit in a disappointing position (10th) and last season champions Leicester are one place above the drop zone.

Middlesbrough sit 18th while Swansea are 19th and West Brom lay 20th. The managers of these teams better hope they get some points soon or they may become the first manager casualties of the 2016/17 season.

SOUTHMPTON V MANCHESTER UNITED

View attachment 120554

Southampton have historically given Manchester United a rough ride in the past. There are many games you could re-count (remember the grey kit clash or the Massimo Taibi incident). Any how Southampton are playing extremely well and The Red Devils will need to play exceptionally well to beat the Saints. Southampton are the only club who seem to sell their better players every year but still manage to improve year in year out. This season doesn't seem to be any different and with Europe and a few cup competition runs the Saints and their new manager Claude Puel could have their greatest season yet.

View attachment 1086109Claude Puel will wonder how his side managed to lose this. The Saints played well and kept Manchester United at bay for the majority of the game. Still the scoreline doesn't look good for Southampton but in all honesty United took their chances well. Saints had a few chances themselves and aside from the Charlie Austin goal, Ward-Prowse and Redmond could have scored too.

View attachment 1086110Manchester United will take this as a hard fought win. The Saints who are no push overs did give them a good game. However Juan Mata squeezed in a goal from a frenzy in the box which saw Southampton unable to clear their lines. Zlatan scored from the spot after being bought down by Saints after new signing Michael Keane bought the experienced striker down in the Southampton box. Mason will be pleased that his team are starting to gel and that they are nearly at the summit of the Premier League.

So going ok in the league. Although we're unbeaten just! I may need help with tactics as we give it away a lot. Ibrahimovic has saved my bacon a lot. Rooney is dire and Martial isn't having an amazing season so far.

I'd say the shape you are running is fine, just run Schweini as Dlp over Schneiderlin with pogba as Cm-S and Herrera as the 10(AM-A) Mata as wide playmaker on the right and Martial as winger on the left Back line is fine, if you use FB-A.Use fluid shape with Control and be more expressive, play out of defence and Pass into space bare minimum, possibly close down more and prevent short gk distribution.Use a normal(not deep, not high) back line and you will be fine
