Reserves and U-18s

Now I have always used my staff to control of these teams, I was wondering, if anyone actually takes control of them? I was thinking about it and what benefits there may from taking control of them. Watching these games, you may see something in younger players your staff may not, if players perform well in the reserve games, you could bring them in for a first game where they may shine, when before you may have just left them in the reserves.

So I was wondering if anyone actually shows an interest and/or takes control of these parts of the squad? I am thinking of starting a new save, taking these teams in to account too, I am hoping it can bring new players through the team and hopefully give a more thorough career.

i have done a few times, however i only do it when i have a good young player or promising reserve player and i want to see them play regularly
