i sign him early via the contract offer. only gave 1.2m as compensation f*cking cheaper = quality player

Obviously I can't speak for what will happen in anyone else's game, but in mine, Leverkusen released him in 2012. Even if he isn't among your top priorities, it might be worth keeping him on your shortlist just to see what becomes of him, because on a free he's hard to pass up.
