I am in the middle of watching Spain vs Italy in the Euro's and I have just seen Spains tactic. They are playing a 4-3-3 with a AMC instead of a striker.
Line up:
Casillas
Arbeloa Pique Ramos Alba

Xavi Busquets Alonso

Silva Fabregas Iniesta
Does anyone know how this would work without a striker? Would it work with all teams from relegation to top sides? Do you really need top players like Xavi or Iniesta or would with players from a league 2 side? What would you say Fabregas's role is, trequista, AMC? Finally how would you create this in FM?

The game had not started yet, so how are we able To know how they play. Perhaps the Discussion xan continue after the game.

I think Fabregas will attempt to hold the ball deep and pull the markers out to create space, but i guess we'll see.

I noticed there is a lot of roaming and players switching position so far. Being Spain, possession speaks for itself.

i have tried a strikerless formation in lower leagues and it doesn't seem to work. the amc doesn't get forward enough to connect with the chances

As I have opened Emulation threads, lets continue this discussion in that one .
