Ole biggest mistake probably(not only Ole, should have been tied down earlier) What would been if Herrera would have stayed. But cant blame him leaving either.

Our win/loss ratio with and without Herrera says it all, if you compare that to someone like Pogba, it's not as much of a difference. Which basically comes down to the fact that Herrera worked his *************** off whenever he played. He was a leader and the most important player during that winning streak when Ole first came in. Even though Pogba was getting the assists, he wouldn't have the freedom without Herrera doing his donkey work.

One other thing, I don't get Mandzukic and how he supposedly fits this vision of what we are trying to do, if they are painting this as some kind of 'long term vision' and 'building for the next few years'. What use is Mandzukic other than the obvious, that he'll offer us something different for a year or two? But then we're back to the same problems as before when he leaves. Surely we should be looking at a more long-term option.

Personally think the Mandzukic talk is all BS. Ducker said that Ole didn’t sign a STR as the ones he wanted were not available. But Mandzukic clearly was in the Summer.

Would be interesting addition to your midfield. Is young, reads game very good with very good pass, tall and wont be bullied, no big name so wont cost too much. Is not full destroyer in midfield but does his job very good.
He is playing CL, so that might be reason not to get him in Januari.

But recommed to check Genk playing in CL too see yourself. Or on 12th Norway is playing Spain.

Good player seen him a few times. Better than Dedonker who Wolves signed. Dani Olmo is another good player but more attacking than Herrera. Also Sebestian Cordova from the same club as Chicharito is getting huge praise in Europe now would be an ideal Herrera replacement and not break the bank.

Olmo is attacking mid, I was looking someone who can direct play from deep and offer more support mid and front two of CBs. Olmo might be good slot into AMR place for you as he plays there also.
Getting someone from MX is very dangerous, more than Berge who is already having good experience in CL. First time hearing about Cordova, but first look is still that he is more mid and attacking mid - like you have in Pogba.

A bit more about Berge.

Cordova can play more attacking but is more an all round BtB. Yeah Olmo is definitely more attacking would be more a Pogba replacement don’t fancy him on the RW prefer someone more natural. Havertz would be my dream signing.

We can sign both Marc Roca DM and Chukwueze RW January. Very achievable and cheapish and would make instant impact. Then go back to 4-3-3

United will push ahead with plans to hire a technical director, or possibly even two people to cover that role, to become the “lightning rod” for recruitment and drive forward the vision for the club. #mufc [Telegraph Ducker]

Sounds like there’s gonna be another one coming in if Oly Kay from the Athletic is right. But sounds like Pert will be more involved in other areas too.

Least the clubs making some more steps in the right direction.
