In Arsene we Trust? Not quite, Arsenal Board sack manager after terrible end of 2011/2012!
The Arsenal board have decided to give the boot french specialist Arsene Wenger. After another trophyless season Arsene had been tipped to quit the Gunners, but there never was any lead to the rumours. Well, this departure has come in as a big surprise for the fans, and we asked a few of the fans to give an opinion.
~ I personally believe that it was a mistake, we qualified for the Champions League again, and despite the "no trophy story" we still played good football. I want to see who will be his successor.
~Dissapointed and gutted. This is my reaction for our board.
~I think it's for good, he just not getting anything in football these days.
Meanwhile Jack Wilshere posted in his twitter:
@Big Manager and Big Loss! We miss you already, mr. Wenger. ! #AFC
More news on the new manager soon to come!

ARSENAL FC STATEMENT: WENGER MATTER
We are sad to say that the departure of our former manager Arsene Wenger was imminent. We had put an objective for him to grab the club a trophy this year. He did not succeed and our board took the choice to part company with the French Specialist.
We wish him all the best in his career.

After the Sack: Or who will succeed Arsene Wenger ?
Everyone around in England is asking the same question. Who will be the new Arsenal Manager?
We at Sky Sports news have the pleasure to give a story on who is tipped and who could join The Gunners.
1st: Pep Guardiola
He and Arsenal will fit like a glove. Likes using youngsters, wins trophies, but uses a lot of money..and not on successful transfers. Only of a Few of The Barca Coach have been a real impact in the Barca squad and they have not come cheap for the Catalunia club. That will be a big decision for him and the Arsenal board, who, everyone knows, don't give much funds for the club. Will Pep buy a ticket to London?
2nd:Fabio Capello
After the John Terry scandal, Capello resigned from the England National team. He has a instinct to win trophies despite not great football, but will he want Arsenal? Or then again, he won't come cheap, and would Arsenal want him?
3rd:Rafael Benitez
Whenever there is a free manager spot, there is Rafa Benitez. He has an eye for buying some talents, but can he do something at Arsenal. He does not have a nice reputation in England despite winning the Champions League and FA Cup with Liverpool. Sloppy play and much failure with Inter Milan, after a Treble Season for the Nerazzuri, fits the bill.
4th: Peter Pankovski
Young(in manager years) expert. He has been rumored to succeed at the AFC after a nice season with Newcastle. He is probably one of the big candidates and has a point to prove. But will the board put themselves in a sticky situation with an not-that-experienced manager on their hands...Only time will tell!

P.S.
It's 2011/2012 season, it's only that I removed Wilshere's injury in order to build my greatest English - players - mostly project and am going with the story that I am in 2012/2013. Hope you enjoy the story. :)

Arsenal FC Press conference: The New Gaffer
Patience is running out as Arsenal Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis is about to invite the new manager of the club. As it is not Pep Guardiola, the crowd wants to know whether it is Capello, Benitez or Pankovski and everybody is on their toes.
Mr. Gazidis: Ladies and gentleman, thank you for taking part in this Press conference. I and the whole Arsenal FC are pleased to announce that the new manager of the squad will be...Peter Pankovski.
*Pankovski walks in the room*
Mr. Gazidis. We have thoroughly watched his abilities and have full faith in him. He will now answer your questions.
Reporter: Mr. Pankovski, you are stepping in with big shoes to fill, are you ready for the job.
Pankovski: I am absolutely ready to be part of this amazing squad. What I only wish is the cooperation of the board, players and backroom staff in order to build a project that in my eyes would be very successful. I am sorry for the departure of Mr. Wenger, but I have the utmost confidence of being of big help to Arsenal FC.
Reporter: What kind of policy will you try. Will you be able to spend in the transfer market..will that affect your tactics and style of play?
Pankovski: I am always looking to play an attacking minded game. I mostly try exploiting this kind of tactic and nothing else. Ofcourse when it comes to defense we will also build. I am not that ready to talk about transfers. I will take a look at the players and then think about transfers. I can only say that I work on a deal-by-deal basis, not that much on all-stars, or not only on youngsters. And I can give a hint, that I love working with British talents.
~With that the press-conference has ended. Thank you~

A day on the job: Pankovski's first training session.
The new Arsenal coach took the team out for a first training session today. After he was pronounced as manager yesterday, the young ambitious gaffer took half an hour to meet the squad and explaining his objectives and style of tactics. Then he started with the workouts. It must have had an effect, because after that Jack Wilshere made a post on twitter.
@We have a great new gaffer. It will take him time to settle and to fit mr. Wenger's shoes, but the way he wants us to play, his words are class. All the best to him!

With just 15 days on the job, Peter Pankovski doesn't fail to disappoint and has completed the signing of the two most promising British stars in the Barclays Premier League. Unsettled Johnson, has signed for a 10 + 10(over 48) million pounds. City have received quite a fee for the British youngster as this turns out to be Arsenal's record transfer. It was a big surprise as nobody expected Arsenal to react so fast and ****** the player, that wanted some first-team football. The Left Winger also stated his desire to play for the club with the words: "It's a big club and I have big work. I'll have to prove my worth to the Gaffer and to the supporters." In the mean time Pankovski banged the transfer market one more time signing Jack Rodwell to help the midfield in his employment of the 4-2-3-1 tactic. He will also cost a solid sum of money, as he also comes for a fee around 20 million. Pankovski has stated that he has the backing of the board when it comes to money and with the departures of Arshavin(to Roma) and Chamakh(to PSG) he has the funds to build for his project, so the big sum for Rodwell is quoted:"Not a problem."

Who's next? Sime Vrsaljko joins Arsenal as Gunners make 3rd signing in just two days!
Sime Vrsaljko has stated that "his dream has come true" after completing a 3.5 million move to Arsenal. Pankovski has made another signing, just two days, after he splashed the cash for Adam Johnson and Jack Rodwell. Sime Vrsaljko joins the Gunners, as he is tipped to be a potential star at the Right - Back position. The lack of a adequate replacement for Bacary Sagna has made Pankovski sign the youngster, despite him being only 19. The Croatian is part of the Dinamo(Zagreb) Academy and has made a total of 46 appearances for their side and scoring 1 goal. The New Manager of Arsenal FC stated that: "He[Sime] is an outstanding youngster. We have scouted him a lot, and thought that he could help us now and in the future. We hope to get the best out of him.

Pre - Season: Arsenal flawless as Pankovski gets ready for the new season!
We basically won all of our friendlies with ease. Only in the game with Roma we didn't score most of our chances. Seeing as we needed this practice in order to start off the season with a bang, I am hoping all the wins would be for a positive. Just to explain, I am using the 4-2-3-1. My team is basically this kind:
Sczezny; Sagna, Koscielny, Vermaelen, Gibbs; Song, Arteta; A.Johnson, Wilshere, Gervinho; RVP
Ofcourse my sub squad had some rotations, but the good thing is I have a sub for every position(if I get away with not much injuries that is):
Fabianski; Vrsaljko, Djorou, Mertesacker, Santos; Rodwell, Ramsey(will introduce them to first team soon); Walcott, Rosicky, Chamberlain(him as Ramsey and Rodwell); Park
So I have a nice setup squad and If I need I may buy one more player, but for now it is not that needed.

TRANSFER ANALYSIS: ARSENAL FC
Adam Johnson
Was the biggest bang of the transfer market for Arsenal and for England. The unsettled at City player wanted first - team action and Pankovski managed to grab him. With Liverpool and Chelsea sniffing around it was fun to see how he actually turned out at Arsenal. He says: "Mr. Pankovski convinced me. He has a great project coming up, he works good with players, and I think I made the right decision. Besides, Arsenal needed a left winger very much, whilist Pool and Chelsea had wingers. I wanted to continue my development without having to prove much from the bench. It may be a lazy thoght, but it is what I want." He is the new Arsenal FC Transfer Record Breaker and is set to succeed at the Left Wing, but will he be able to do just that? Well, let's take a look at the pre-season.
Johnson played in all of the friendlies, despite not scoring, he was a big effect with his work on the left wing. Pankovski played him most in order for him to get used to the team style. And It is a success for now. He managed to bang in a few assists too. We will not rush to any conclusions for now as we all know what happened with Stewart Downing at Pool, but Johnson has a big point to prove, that he is no push-over and that only Mancini's thirst for players left his talent in the dark. It's tough but he has the potential to do it...
Potential rating: 8.5/10

Jack Rodwell

Another expensive signing and another big hit in Arsenal. He will be a big competition for Song in the starting 11, but for now I believe he will be a substitute. He mostly rotated in the friendlies and was a good attack-breaker as well as a good passer and had an eye for the attacks. Him, Ramsey and Chamberlain are thought to make the first team of AFC soon, so they must not make mistakes. Rodwell has big experience in the Premier League as he has played for 2 straight years in Everton. After a good spell with David Moyes, will he be able to make the big jump at a bigger club, only time will tell. In the mean time we take a moment to say that Everton will have all to do after the departure of Fellaini and Rodwell and should use the money from them to buy a new Anchor Man.
Potential rating: 7.5/10

Sime Vrsaljko
Seen as the potential player to succeed Sagna after he passes the 30's. Only 19, Vrsaljko proved he has the talent with great work in defense and phenomenal crosses up-front. He still has time to develop, but seeing that he cost only 3,5 million to the Gunners, he might be the bargain of the transfer market this season. He got good first-team action in the pre-season and if there is an eventual injury to Sagna he will be up and ready to take the spot. Even though that, he shouldn't take his mind of for a second, because with recent reporst, Francis Coquelin has been adapting his game to play at the right - back and if Sime drops form, Pankovski won't hesitate to use the Frenchman. The interesting thing is that he is the last signing for the team from London, which proves what faith the Young Specialist has placed in him.
Potential Rating: 8/10

With that the transfer of Arsenal have been concluded, if there is any news from now till deadline day, it shall be reported.

Arsenal against Rubin for the Champions League group spot!
In the mean time, I drew Rubin (Kazan) to be my opponents in the CL playoffs. It will be tough , that I am sure of.

~August~

GALarseceleb_g.jpg

Arsenal 4
- 2 Everton
Barclays Premier League
Koscielny, Wilshere(2), Arteta
; Donovan (2)
What a win! With it being my debut I do believe it was quite a shocker. I expected a tough match against the Blues from Merseyside yet 20 minutes on I was up 2-0. Wilshere put some classy performance grabbing 1 assist and 2 goals. It was a great result from the boys. Bad news is I will have to suffer without Sczezny for 5 - 6 weeks and Fabianski will have to be up for the challenge. I don't have much tough fixtures, but still, not much trust in him. MOTM: Jack Wilshere

Rubin Kazan 1 - 4 Arsenal

Uefa Champions League Playoff

Karadeniz; Koscielny, Johnson, Van Persie, Gervinho
Another big win I think I am ready for the group - stage. Koscielny banged in another goal, Persie, Johnson and Gervinho added 1 to their accounts and I am happy. Personally expected more from Rubin, but I guess it was a dissapointment. I don't have much to say here. MOTM: Jack Wilshere

In the mean time:
@AFC.com report that Adam Campbell ( Newcastle youth ) will join up with the squad on 9th July 2012 for an undisclosed fee. #NUFC #AFC

72c5rr.jpg

West Bromich 0
- 3 Arsenal
Barclays Premier League
Johnson, Van Persie, Chamberlain

Now that's what I call winning. 5 shots, 3 goals. Speechless for the boys, after another victory with over 2 goals. Another good thing is I didn't concede goals this time. Now the boys will get a rest, because I will be playing Rubin(Kazan) and then I got an extremely important match against Tottenham!
MOTM: Adam Jonhson

Twitter: @Adam Campbell has confirmed he has signed a 3 year deal with #AFC for 2.5 million pounds. The transfer will be struck at the end of the season #AFC #NUFC

Arsenal 3
- 2 Rubin

Chamberlain, Park, Kaleshin (OG); Valdez, Koscielny(OG)

Uefa Champions League Playoff

I have nothing much to say. Mixed some starters and some subs in order to grab the win. Good win for us, but bad defending. Still I am in the group stage, that's all there is to it.

Death Group! Arsenal stumble on Napoli, Ajax and Benfica in the Group Stage!
Very tough group! I just hope I have the power the overcome Ajax and Benfica.

Carling Cup draw: Hull City!

North London is RED! Young Gunner's late winner rewards Arsenal with the 3 points!
What a match! The North London Derby was once again filled with glittering emotions! Everything was great from the start. Modric hit the post with a great strike from 20 yards, whilist on the other side Van Persie skimmed the side of the bar too. It was but until the 29th minute when a cross from Arteta got struck by Vermaelen and the result had been opened 1 - 0 Arsenal! The Gunners tried to score a second goal but had no luck whatsoever with Gervinho and Johnson both a whisker away from the goal. The second half was a different story. Spurs came out with the intention to equalise and they got what they wanted. Koscielny cleared with his head to Sagna, but he lost the ball to Adebayor and the Togoan player scored for 1 - 1. Pankovski's response was imminent. Walcott came on for Van Persie, and after a sublime attack by the British trio - Johnson, Walcott and Wilshere the result became 2 - 1 with the last player of these 3 being the goalscorer. There wasnt much for Tottenham, except to try and score, but that didn't happen and Arsenal grabbed the 3 points!
Arsenal 2
- 1 Tottenham
Vermaelen, Wilshere
; Adebayor
MOTM: Jack Wilshere

I'm not trying to slate you, as it seems like you have put in a lot of work into this, but did you just steal this story's idea and even thread/story title!? Keep it up, though, it's nice to see you've update this so much in only a few days. I may follow this, despite the unoriginal story name!

- PZW

I've seen this thread title about a dozen times. Hard to think of who came up with it first. Don't worry about it, i like your opening post.

Um, yes, I saw that there is another thread named like this. I am sorry to say, that it lost it's originality, but I had never seen this story's name as I didn't much log on on FM-Base until I decided to make this story. I haven't copied a single thing. I just like using British players mostly, and Adam Johnson in particular. I am sorry for the thread name, but I really haven't seen it from somebody else. But, even though, I hope you guys follow and thank you sincerely for the support. I hope I get September done for today.

Good updates, good signings and good results :p Tough group in the Champions League, so best of luck with that :)

Aston Villa 1 - 3 Arsenal }
Barclays Premier League
Heskey(****) ; Van Persie(2) , Song

Continued winning ways with two penalties scored by our captain Persie. Nothing much to say except that I started gaining momentum and Sczezny is back to training.
MOTM: Van Persie

theo-walcott.jpg

Ajax 0 - 3 Arsenal
Uefa Champions League
Walcott, Persie, Rosicky

Won the match early early. The funny thing is I expected Ajax to be tough, I gave a rest to some players and still dominated which was perfect for me. Another win for the mighty Gunners here!

Carling Cup:
Hull City 0 - 6 Arsenal

Chamberlain(3), Park (3)
My 2nd squad ripped Hull City apart. Chamberlain is A BEAST!!! I drew Fulham in the next round.

Wigan 0 - 2 Arsenal
Barclays Premier League
Song; Gervinho

Boring match here. We scored easily and missed some chances but there was nothing special like my other matches. The good thing is we are gaining momentum and I am hoping to keep this shape for as much as time allows me.

cavani.jpg

Napoli 1 - 1 Arsenal
Uefa Champions League
Cavani; Johnson

Napoli stopped my winning streak and I didn't expect less from them. Perfect play, It's a good thing Sczezny made a good couple of saves. I was up for my first loss even, but Adam Johnson saved me in the 85th minute of the match. It will be tough going to Neapol in the second match thats for sure.
