Van Der Vaart good or bad

Just started my second season at spurs and been offered van der vaart by real madrid for £9 mill , is he worth it ?
 
ive been buying him for last few fm's never let me down
 
if you have 9m, and cant buy anyone else, then get him. otherwise id stay clear, he gets unhappy alot.
 
i had him in my arsenal,ajax and OM squad in FM08.very good player and even better for set pieces...never disapointing
dont know him in 09 though..
 
i bought him for 10 million at celtic, no better than mcgeady or nakamura or my strikers, evans and mcdonald. My assistant manager didn't have him in his best selection but he did play ok, he kind of gets better as the match goes on

it depends what club you sign him for, if its wigan then he's good, man united then hes average
 
in my madrid team he played about 20 games, but nevertheless passed from being a four stars to a three stars, but some seasons he would just bang loads in set pieces so its kinda risky guess it depends who you play in his position and what formation you're using, as he is worthy only as offensive midfielde
 
He is a player, sometimes he bosses the midfield, sometimes he plays very awfull. He plays very awful in Spain, because opponents close him down. Three solutions:
- You can give him a free role, but than, you will loose the balance in your midfield.
- Just sell and buy a better one, or promote from youth.
- Van der Vaart is similiar type to Sneijder, just sell Van der Vaart and use Sneijder more often
 
:Dgot him from real in first season 7.5mill not greatX|sold him to barca 14 mill he played hardley any games 4 them got him back at end of second season for 3 mill :D well happy! not a bad player hit and miss really theres better for your money out there!
 
Hate him in FM 09.. In the 08 game he was awesome, but in 09 he's just one classy way to throw your money away.
 
got him for £9m scored in his first game got injured in his second and now is out for five months
 
got him fully fit at last , ratings 7.4 over 10 games scoring 6 goals
 
I buy him for my atletico madrid team.
I think he's well worth to buy.
One of the best midfielder for my team.
Also he score many goals from free kicks.
One of my top scorer.
 
In Spain, he doesn't do well so usually after one season he will be available for cheap - I got him for 5 million. He does brilliantly in England against non-top 4 EPL teams. Scores lots from free kicks - around 10 goals / season. At the end of 2 seasons you can sell him for 15 million (if he plays well). I have him playing every alternate game spelling another MC - didn't get unhappy (roughly 25-30 games / season).
 
very good player if he plays as an AM, played him on the wings and he did a satisfactory job there. A brilliant player !
