why does football manager keep "not resonding"

almost every day that i am on football manager it will come up "not responding" if anyone can help me it is very much appreciated cos it is very annoying and i am scared that a good save will be deleted if i dont get this sorted so please help!!!!!

hasn't happened for me and i've used windowed mode since fm 07

It happens to me when its processing fixtures and like JP Woody i just ignore it and browse the net when thats happening
