Highly rated centre-back Simon Kjaer has joined Steve Mclaren's Wolfsburg for an undisclosed fee. Manchester United and City as well as Tottenham were hot on the pursuit of the Danish defender who was part of their World Cup squad.

I personally believe that it's a good signing for Wolfsburg and as a Man Utd fan I would have liked to have seen him join. He's definately one for the future. What are your thoughts?

great signing harry redknapp 0-1 steve mc claren.

Very good defender and very good on ball too. Read somewhere that he started as midfielder. No wonder his passing is so good. If he turns out to be good signing then it will be very hard to ****** him away from Wolfsburrg. They are as tough as they come.

Love it, not a Wolfsburg fan but I really look forward to see this kid in the Bundesliga

Steve McClaren has picked a terrible time to become a good manager.

I guess thats how England managers roll.

Good defender, a bit suprised he went to Wolfsburg, they didn't do too well last year, thought he could of gone to a giant, but hey, that's football
