Or why is Led Zeppelin mentioned in the same thread as Drake?

Zeppelin was the culmination of 4 of the most talented musicians who ever lived in a single band, one of the most influential bands in history that practically changed the sound of music for a generation. Drake is some autotuned guy talking over a generic beat.

But each to their own. :)

Rock and roll, stairway to heaven (The WHOLE of it, it's a masterpiece), immigrant song, trampled underfoot, ramble on, black dog, whole lotta love. Some of my favourites, but basically everything they did was awesome.

to name just a few :)

music pretty much has more to do with which decade you grew up in more than anything else (except greats like Beatles/Eagles/Stones/Pink Floyd/Led Zeppelin etc etc..)

Everyone has their own tastes, Joel, Led Zeppelin is great, just because you LOVE them does not mean that everyone else will and everyone is entitled to their opinions :)

Like sweet child o'mine , fleetwod mac maybe... rest not really my type!

the odd songs of this genre i do like... but as im 18, obviously music i have grew up with is Pop, RnB, Rap ETC

yeah my point exactly :) all good bud, I dig it too! Tinie Tempah/Eminem/Fabolous etc etc :)

Smashing Pumpkins were the '90's band, completely defines that generation.

Stadium Arcadium is great and I love it. There's not one bad song on there.

However, it does not hit the highs of By the Way. By the Way has instant classics all over it, whereas Stadium Arcadium only really has Snow, Tell me Baby and Dani California, good as they are.
After reading through this I went back and listened to By the Way again for the first time in ages. **** I'd forgotten how good it was. Would def say its better than Stadium Arcadium as pretty much every song is great

Just wondering have you listened to any of the Queens Of the Stone Age's albums? You might like them as well. I would recommend Songs For The Deaf album. If you are looking for a particular song then No One Knows.

Listened to both Red Hot Chili Peppers albums - By The Way and Stadium Arcadium. I just can't decide which I prefer, both are brilliant and if I had to choose it would probably just be By The Way, more top songs from The Peppers on there compared to Stadium Arcadium. But two really good albums, like both a lot.

Either Cher Lloyd [Sticks + Stones] or The Wombats [This modern glitch]
