After a week of contract negotiations, today Newcastle United have signed German Winger Nicolai Muller for ?11.5 mil. The 25 year old has signed a 70,000p/w contract until Jun 2016. We should see Muller in action against Ipswich Town.

The Newcastle wingers were very effective today and there was some quality finishing on display, the midfielders supported well in attack. Today's only negative point was the lone striker was unable to find space. Nicolai Muller made his debut today and scored a rating of 7.

Fine start to Newcastle's season with a good win over West Ham. Newcastle dominated the game with great midfield support. Some quality finishing on display from Gouffran today. Newcastle played well together as a team.

Newcastle have signed 22 year old French advanced playmaker Clement Grenier from Lyon today costing them ₤19M. The Newcastle fans and board are delighted with the managers new addition to the squad. Grenier looks like a great prospect for the future, but could we see him in the first team soon?

Newcastle were lucky to come away from Villa with a win today, fine goal keeping was the only good point from today's match. Tim Krul won the Man of the match award for some inspirational goal keeping. Newcastle failed to retain possession through out the game.

Newcastle put in a goo performance against a better Tottenham side today. For the second game in a row now, keeper Tim Krul has put in a great performance pulling off a number of great saves. Newcastle's wingers were very ineffective today. Newcastle will be happy with the draw.

Very solid performance today for Newcastle a comfortable 4-0 win over Torquay. Newcastle demonstrated great teamwork today and showed very clinical finishing. The midfielders covered the very well defensively and also the wingers were very effective.

Newcastle have offloaded two more players today. First being their number 9 Papiss Cisse to Valencia for a fee of ₤11.25M and secondly centreback Mike Williamson has been sold to Swansea City for ₤2.3M. Manager Terry Overton is looking to bring in a new striker.

 The fans of Newcastle were disappointed as they narrowly lost 2-1 to Stoke City in a match they should have won. Newcastle really didn't look like they wanted to win this game, misplaced passes, failing to keep the ball for the first time this season very poor goal keeping. Newcastle will be looking to bounce back with a win in their next game.

Newcastle signed Oscar Cardozo for ₤12M on deadline day from SLB. Cardozo comes in to replace Papiss Cisse who was sold to Valencia early this month. Fans are looking forward to seeing Cardozo play, and the manager is hoping that he fits in with the rest of the team. We could see Cardozo's debut against Liverpool.

Newcastle put in a fantastic display during their 3-0 win against Liverpool. Although they couldn't retain possession of the ball Newcastle proved they can battle with the big teams. The wingers today were fantastic there crosses provided all three goals today 2 coming from Hatem Ben Afra who claimed todays Man of the match. This win takes Newcastle to 2nd in the table level on points with Southampton who are sitting at the top of the table with 10 points. Oscar Cardozo didn't future in today's match. Will we see him next week?

Yet another fantastic result for Newcastle United. They have got this season off to a flyer. Newcastle showed very clinical finishing here today with 3 fantastic goals. Again Hattem Ben Arfa got Man of the Match for his great display on the wings. Newcastle still sit 2nd in the table still level with Southampton. Oscar Cardozo made his Newcastle debut today and capped his performance off with a goal.

Newcastle crashed out of the Capital One Cup today losing 3-1 to a much better Fulham side. Newcastle failed to keep possession today, and their poor discipline lead to Sissoko being sent off 35 mins into the game. Newcastle have been on great form in the league but today they have just been very poor.

Newcastle failed to create goal scoring opportunities today against Cardiff City but they dominated the middle of the park. Newcastle went behind to a Gary Medel free kick 10 mins into the game. Hattem Ben Afra equalized for Newcastle 8 mins from the end to ****** a point for his team. Newcastle have moved to top of the league with 14 points, Manchester United who are currently 4th in the table have a game in hand which will be played tomorrow, if they win they go 1 point above Newcastle.

Yet another win for Newcastle United today where they over come Palace 3-0 at home. Newcastle opened the scoring through new number 9 Oscar Cardozo, Gouffran and Grenier scored the other two goals in the game. Newcastle showed clinical finishing today and the midfield helped cover the defense. Good solid performance today.
