Before
Palermo had to score 3 goals today, and had to hope Manchester City didn't score more then 1 tonight.

After
The home crowd were celebrating in the pre-match warm ups, singing we're going to Munich....But Hernandez soon shut them up with a fine goal in the 1st minute, Palermo meant business. On 9 minutes, Kompany, who was ruling the back 4, was taken off injured which only helped Palermo's cause. Palermo were playing all out attack football, and City were over whelmed, with Miccoli cutting in from the right and smashing the ball across a helpless hart. 2-0 to Palermo. But Palermo had poured to many men forward, and 4 minutes before the half, Carlos Tevez shot through DeGea's legs, 2-1.
In the second half, Manchester City dominated for the first 20 minutes, with DeGea and the woodwork keeping Palermo in the game. On 53 minutes, Pastore limped off with an ankle injury, which saw Ballotelli nearly get sent off, and he was hauled off and replaced. Then Manchester City's main threat, Carlos Tevez, fell hard and was stretchered off, holding his back. Manchester City had only one striker on, Adebayor, and he was unfit.
68 minutes, Hazard crosses the ball and Miccoli volleys against the bar, the ball fell to Llorente who chested it, and calmly placed the ball into a gaping goal. 3-1 on the night, 3-3 on aggregate. Palermo were again on the assault and City were on the back foot.
81 minutes, and the game looked to be going to extra time when Miccoli popped up in the box, converting a Hazard cross, 4-1 on the night. Now City had to score 2. City piled men forward but Henrique picked up the ball in defence, lofted it towards ilicic who calmly played in the pacey Hernandez, who was one on one with Hart. He blasted the balll, with his eyes closed, into the back of the net. Palermo had done the unthinkable. They'd won 5-1 on the night, 6-4 on aggregate. They were in the Champions League Final

UEFA Champions League Semi FInal round up, and Final Draw

fc_barcelona.jpg

In the first of our Semi Finals, Palermo hosted Manchester City in the first leg, and the whole of Sicily was stunned when Manchester City walked away with a 3-1 win, Out playing Palermo, and totally deserving their win. But in the second leg, Palermo were awesome, and with luck on their side, and the fact that they took their chances, Palermo made it through to their first of European Cup final, winning 5-1 in Manchester and 6-4 on aggregate.
There was a mouth watering Semi Final by two former Champions, when Barcelona went up against Inter Milan. At the Nou Camp, Inter grabbed 3 fantastic away goals, drawing 3-3 with Barcelona but in the second leg, Messi and co tore Inter to bits, winning 4-1 on the night and 7-4 on aggregate.

UEFA Champions League Final

Defending Champions, Barcelona, are favourites to win again this year, when they play Palermo in Munchen, Germany. These two have already met this season in the European Super Cup, with Palermo winning 4-3

Another treble on the cards?

i dont know mate, Won The League and UEFA Europa league last year, so if we do a treble, it will be the 1st...

But Barca are a very good side, but managed to beat them in the Super Cup at the start so fingers crossed

Before
Mr Drezzy demanded a performance, he could tell his players were down after their Coppa Italia final defeat, but this game they needed to win, to keep their morale high.

After
This was a very poor game with hardly any talking points. Livorno should have taken the lead in the first half, but their goal was ruled out after a dubious handball. Replays showed there was nothing wrong with the goal.
In the second half, Sakho was sent off for a second yellow card on 47 minutes, whilst on 57, Kadlec volleyed home a Miccoli cross, scoring Palermo's only clear cut chance of the game. Palermo stumble to a 1-0 win

The final game of the season, Frosinone were bowing out of Serie A, after they were relegated back to Serie B. If Palermo could win, then they would have won every single match this season.

After
Palermo cruised to an easy 3-0 victory today, with the highlight of the match being Lukaku's return from injury, and he even managed to get on the score sheet, scoring Palermo's 3rd of the afternoon.
With this victory, Palermo have won every game this season, setting a new record.

Before
Barcelona were defending Champions and were heavy favourites to win the trophy again. .

After
What a game! it was end to end stuff, some brilliant football was on display today. Palermo mastered the first 20 minutes but couldn't find the net, and after that, Barcelona got into their stride and were running rings around Palermo, but Palermo broke and Llorente scored to give Palermo a 1-0 lead. How ever, it didn't last long as Messi broke down the right flank, showed the fans some skills, before blasting past a helpless DeGea. 1-1.
On another counter attack, Piatti beat Valdes at his near post to make it 2-1, but if it wasnt for Valdes then Palermo could have seen themselves up by more then 1.
In the second half, Barcelona controlled the match, But Palermo looked dangerous on the counter, and when Hazard broke free, he played the ball across goal to an unmarked Hernadez, who rounded off his brilliant season with a Champions League goal. 3-1 to Palermo.
In the next 10 minutes, both teams saw goals ruled out and just after Pedro injured himself on 81 minutes, Pique headed home from a Messi corner to give Barca some hope. But it wasn't enough, Palermo players time wasted for the next 5 minutes, going down and faking injury when ever they could. Palermo win the Champions League

Great season, may be a little tough keeping complacency out of the squad after going undefeated in the league and winning the Champions league.

Yeah, next season could be my hardest one, seeing that Board and fan expectations will be higher. May leave the story alone for a little while, wanna try a French campaign, and obviously not have to write about it lol
