A Nice challenge

I have been thinking long and hard on what team or country I should invest my time into, however with work and travel I never had time so I’ve decided to start a save on the mobile FM while on my travels.

as you can see by the title I will be trying to steer Nice to the top of French football since 1958/59.
With Nice finishing 9th last year my aim is to improve on that position and aim for a European spot in the league first year at the helm.

I will be trying to upload as frequently as possible.

The squad



I have inherited a squad with some quality premier league experience while also inducting some youthful players. With the summer signings of Aaron Ramsey, Ross Barkley, Kasper schmeichel, Joe Bryan and Nicolas Pepe all joining before I arrived.

Transfers In



Looking through the squad I feel we needed cover in the central midfield role and a back up winger. My scouts stumbled across a 21 year-old Gyeong-Su from Ansan who fits right into the squad and has potential to be a superstar at 4M he’s a bargain. I also signed moukoko and bynoe-kittens both on loan from Dortmund for some extra cover in the front line.

Transfers out

As you can see there was a lot of out goings, however they’re mostly either youth players or reserve team loans to lower league French clubs. Nice had a busy outgoings before I arrived with Dalberg going on loan to Seville, Gouri going to Rennes and goalkeeper Benitez joining PSV.

Pre - Season



We had a very up and down pre season trying out different formation/players/tactics a 0-0 against Getafe and 2-0 over Nancy gave me some kind of idea but then a 0-1 lose to Celts Vigo made me rethink, I played a youthful team for some game time but this did not end in a win with a 0-0 vs US Concarneau.
