player asks to terminate contract

I'm currently manager of Newcastle, and 2 of my lower players asked to get their contracts terminated.

1 of them asks £150k, the other one £300k. I don't need either one of them, but do I have to pay the total of £450k to terminate their contracts?

If I want to terminate them, I know I must pay, but if they ask for the contracts to be terminated, I'm not really sure.

Any answer will be greatly appreciated

Just save before you terminate their contracts and find out? if you don't like the outcome,then just reload...

yeah you still have to pay, its like your coming to a settlement for the rest of that seasons wages paying it in a lump usually works out quite a bit cheaper than wages for the rest of the season. i'd try offering them out on free transfers first though because then hyou avoid paying them altogether

I saved the game beforehand, and I accepted the terminations. All that did happen, was that I had higher wages to offer on a weekly basis, the transfer budget didn't change at all.
