If I was winning against a lesser team I'd leave it on control til the last 15 mins or so then go counter. If I was winning against a better team and took the lead I'd go straight to counter.
Just finding it with the d-line so high and everyone pressing more, it's very prone to the ball in...
A fair few, rarely get a clean sheet. Trying changing the CWB's to WB's, maybe try putting the two CB's on cover instead of defend as well. To be fair I'd have probably won the league if it didn't take about 4 CCC's each before my strikers score.
I start on control, yeah. If I'm losing or drawing I'll change to attack. Finished 3rd on 77 pts, semi finals in both domestic cups as well. Just can't manage to improve the defending!
Tried this out with Newcastle by starting a new save. It creates silly amounts of CCC, but it doesn't half concede them as well. The good thing is as long as you have good strikers, you'll always outscore the other team. Well.. Most of the time.
My strikers are Remy, de Jong and Cisse-...
I've been working on tweaking this for a while now, to make it more efficient at both ends of the pitch. I'll post the updated version in here in the next few hours
Against teams weaker or on par with you Assertively go out and impress. At home against rivals or big clubs passionately go and do it for the fans. Away against big clubs passionately go out and impress everyone.
Glad to hear it's working well for you! Where you say they flock the ball rather than checking behind, I think that might be to do with playing the offside trap. Could try unticking that? I've also unticked the target man and changed the forward from a poacher to an AF- Attack.
This is definitely the hardest FM I've played like. Finding it so difficult to create any CCC's, then even harder to tighten up defensively. It doesn't seem as if one hinders the other either, it just doesn't work over all
Ah okay, thanks! I'll give that a bash, Ba should be okay in that role as he's a better all rounder imo. Don't suppose you have any input on the defending issue?
Ah nice one thanks, let me know how you get on. At the moment it's a bit of a tactic that will outscore your opponent. However if I can somehow tighten the defence without hindering the attack then I might be onto a winner :)
