This tactic is pretty hugely offensive already, you should be creating a LOT of chances once your team is fluid. I have found a tweak in personnel to be the most effective change, for example swapping a wide striker with the central one has turned games around for me.
Quick update on season just gone...Lost the Capital One Cup final to Southampton on penalties, 9-8!! Dominated the game, but just couldn't get the goal needed to win. Lost the FA Cup final 2-1 to Man. City, tight game and could have gone either way, but Joe Hart was epically good for City...
Hmmm....In 3rd season with Liverpool now, and have noticed 2 trends with regards the goals I conceed;
1.) I conceed mostly when my FB's have pressed on and we lose position, getting caught on the counter. Even with pacey defenders, I can get caught.
2.) I concede an innordiante amount of...
This tactic creates a LOT of chances no doubt, but individual match performance will have a lot to do with other factors. Morale, fatigue, happiness all seem to impact. For example I am looking to sell Suarez now, as he wanted a new contract that was over my self-imposed wage cap (£100k max)...
Hulk covers in that role, but he is awesome coming in from the right on his left foot, and I can't really criticise Cavani's stats in the middle!! Plus, Cavani costs me 6k less a goal LOLOL...
Yeah, I was surprised by Doumbia too, as when I had him at Spurs he was epic...But for my Reds, he scored 8 goals in 20 games as the SC, which was simply not good enough in a tactic like this where the SC is your primary source of goals. Got him for 17.25 and sold for 20 which helped fund...
Like any tactic, it is not completely infallible, but on a % basis it is dominant. Will post a screen of Cavani for my Liverpool side when this season's finished, as he's prolific. Found some players to be hit and miss with this, Doumbia and Hamsik both came in and left in the same season as...
Yep, he's the main man. I got Neymar (30 mil over 48 mths) in the creative role, and he is great there. Podolski seems to do ok in the SCR role, but I have yet to find anyone to do really well on the right. But with Leandro banging in so many, it isn't too much of a problem. He has only ever...
Hi Lewis,
I have found that it is key to have both CBs with at least 15 pace/acceleration, otherwise I concede way too many on the counter-attack. Cabaye is decent, but Tiote a little lightweight for my liking. Up front I have had little/no luck with Sanogo the SC or SCR positions, and he...
Long time viewer, first post!! Have run this tactic for 2 years with Liverpool on the recent update, with some spectacular results. Leandro Damaio has been sensational as the middle man of the 3, and contributed a fantastic season. I won the premier league, league cup, and Champions League in...
