Does anyone have enough computer knowledge to let me know if my laptop will be able to play it? I loved Rome TW and wouldn't mind getting this but computer hardware is not a language that I speak! I'll work out how to find out my specs if anyone can help ;)

I lost 3 players to injury within the first 20 minutes against Sevilla in the Europa League. I then lost my striker on 50 minutes which meant I was playing 4-4-1 with a DM upfront. Then on 58 minutes I lose a CB and am forced to play the remaining 35 minutes with a 4-4-0 formation with a LB...

I bought FM14 in the week of release and haven't played it since. Anyone who struggled to get into it in the first place - is it worth persisting with? I don't want to waste my time trying to get the hang of it if I'm not going to enjoy it any more than FM13.

I have. The new tactics system put me off completely. Not a dig at the game at all - I just don't have the time/patience to try and learn it. It seems simpler on the face of it but I just couldn't get the hang of it. I've never downloaded tactics before (except the Diablo for a bit of fun) but...

Sheffield Wednesday. Really interesting first season - lack of funds, small squad of players, lots of injuries at the start of the season as well as many injury-prone players, Gary Madine in prison for the rest of his 2 year contract, etc. Basically needs a complete overhaul of the current squad...

Okay so this is the first time I've got the game before the inevitable big patch (I usually wait around 6 months when it's cheaper) and I have to say I am hugely regretting it. I'm not sure if it's the game's fault or what, but I am finding it impossible to get into any save and have gone back...

Couldn't believe my luck when I signed a 28-year-old Seydou Doumbia on a free. Even less so after his debut... Oh and this was only in 75 minutes before he picked up an injury. Would have loved to have seen how many he'd have gotten if he managed the full 90.

Thanks so much! I guess there is still a lot I don't know about tactics on this game. Possession-style tactics are pretty much all I can do. I'll definitely be using a lot of your ideas and hopefully will be able to put up more of a fight against the bigger teams.

It's a game... It has no agenda. The game just inputs variables and outputs results - it's not out to get you.

Is this true? I had no idea about the overage rule at all. Does this mean if I put someone available for reserves for match fitness and I already have say 4 overage players in my reserves there's a chance my AM will play 3 of those and not the one needing match fitness?
