A screenshot of the shape and TI would be helpful to get an overview what we're dealing with.

The Power Of 4222 - Be Patient and Get Result!

Thanks for your reply. If you do have some time to spare, maybe you could write a short piece about what you expect of every player (like you did for the 2 strikers). This would make it easier for those who don't know your tactic too well yet.

Testing with West Ham, looks very promising so far. Can you explain how to use your strikers? The 2 striker roles are set up differently (different PI), so what kind of striker do you look for to play the left/right striker role?

The setup of the centrebacks (left is CD, right is BPD) is probably by design, right? Would it make much of a difference to change it? With Bayern I have multiple good BPD (Hummels, Boateng, Javi Martinez) while in my West Ham save I basically have nobody who can pass the ball.

Did you change anything else for the new file or did you just remove 'close down more' from the RB? So far the tactic looks really promising. Good results at the moment.

I'll give it a try. Just two questions about your tactics: 1) Why floated crosses? Would you change it if you don't have a tall striker? 2) The right FB is on 'close down more', the left FB is not. Is that by design or an error?

Still struggling with consistency with this tactic. Some games I just win easily (like 4-0 or 5-1). But there are always games where I simply struggle to create CCC, even with a great team like Bayern. Just lost 0-1 at Stuttgart, creating zero CCC and only 1 half chance in 90 minutes. Last week...

DKG Monster 4-2-3-1 High Pressing Attacking Tactic

I keep getting a very high volatility with this tactic. Some games I win 4-0 with dominating the match. Other games I can't get anything right and get beaten badly by similar caliber teams. Do you make any adjustments depending on opponent's strength or formation (aside from switching between...

But you really need to have a GREAT team. I smashed everyone in the German Bundesliga with Bayern (even more than they do in real life) but I couldn't get this tactic to work with an average West Ham team.

Just another little tweak: If your opponent plays an AMC, set your DLP to defend duty. If the opponent has 1 striker and nobody in the AMC position, set DLP to support duty. In this case there is no direct thread through the middle of the field, so our DLP can be a little more supportive in...

@ChristianEriksen: What changes did you make to the tactic?

Working really well in my West Ham test. A lot of possession, defense is tight now. Just use V1 with these tweaks: - DL and DR to support duty - remove 'shoot more often' from MC - DLP to defend duty (unless you're playing an inferior opponent or you're chasing a goal late in the game) But...

Currently testing with West Ham and Monaco. Seems to work quite well.

You could also switch the DLP from support to defend duty to tighten up the defense even more.

Changing the Wing Backs from attack to support duty should help the defense without giving up too much going forward. Another change could be switching the Centre Backs to BPD on defend duty. They will stand a bit deeper and not press as aggressively.
