What tactics do you guys play when Rooney is out, as in real life, i kinda struggle without him in the key player role :)

It dosn't make sence playing rooney in an attacking role up front unless you play him as treq, this due to his fantastic passing skills, being a just as good goal "setupper" as a scorer, therefore i believe you should play him either Complete forward or Deep lying forward on support eventually...

Skills I'm under the understanding the DLF is for the bigger clubs, containing more skillfull players as this role requires a quite strong player, literally, but he also has to possess quite a mental skill set (creativity, anticipation, decisions, workrate, teamwork) besides this the player...

I for one do care about the future and i want to try emulating the tactic they will be playing this year and as i've said it will definately be a more fluid one like back in 2008, which btw. is not that many years ago. And it sounds like you think that the only players united have got capable...

Well to emulate their tactic you need to know what they will be using, you cannot really be sure how they will play in the future, each of us have our own thoughts about it, i do agree though about your thoughts on the current approach, but i'm quite sure it will change when the regular players...

So you seriously think they posses the defensive and perhaps also physical qualities needed to be in the premier league. I know Anderson is rather Strong at the ground, but in the air he is pretty vulnerable and i'd say in defense cleverley ain't really shining much anywhere.

But do you really think Cleverley and Anderson are strong enough in the defensive aspect of the game to be able to play in matches versus Chelsea, City, Liverpool etc. eventually an Arsenal team in form (if this happens this year)

It's hard to say really in my opinion, Anderson and Cleverley wasn't played very much last year, currently it looks like they are the first choices, all though i believe fletcher (when he's back in full fitness) and carrick will be the midfield combo/duo used in the big games or the ones where...

Why do you think so? I see them as attacking roles, but due to the fluid / (very fluid in some games) tactic, Rooney for an example sometimes will join the defence and the full-backs and now sometimes even the center-backs will join the attack :)

In reality United has started to play more and more through the middle perhaps due to the current modern tendencies, though i do nok agree with fletcher in the anchorman defensive role whatever, he is playing more like a box-to-box or ball-winning midfielder, in the last few seasons mostly...

I'd say you should play Sneijder as Deep-Lying playmaker since Ferguson prefers playing his two midfielders deep eventually allowing fletcher to take rushes forward but having carrick remaining deep, this has been changed recently due to the nature of Cleverly, so not really sure what to do...
