I've just finished my first season with Rangers and I also found the same problem with regards to highlights and lack of goals.
I comfortably won the league in the end by 13 points but only scored 57 goals. Frustrating but most wins were 1/2 nil. Very rarely did I have high scoring games...

Not long started playing the season with Spurs but can't seem to find a suitable tactic.
Currently using GoalsGalore tactic (4-2-3-1) which has served me well in the past but not so much on FM13.
After an encouraging start beating Villa, Chelsea, Sunderland, I have now lost 3 games...
Started a new save with Man City, using Mou's 4-2-3-1 tactic.
played 14 league games and only scored 23 goals.
creating 15-20 chances per game but still can't seem to score, in particular my strikers.
