I'm finding that it will no longer give faces to Africans. When I go into the newgan. log file and search for the newgen'd UID I see the following: "Ethnicity African has no faces left for mapping."
UPDATE: Problem solved. There are 12,000 faces in my African folder numbered from African0 to...
Thanks for the question. I didn't realise that you could apply two separate rtf files to one profile but I've just successfully tried applying a staff. rtf followed by a player.rtf using the preserve option. This will save me a load of time in future (y)
I copy the staff underneath the players and find that the staff columns are wider than the players. Below the players you will have headers for the staff. I delete these so there is a single line of -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- between...
I do the following:
o generate an rtf file for players;
o generate an rtf file for staff;
o using a text editor, I use Notepad++, copy the data from staff.rtf to players.rtf;
o rename players.rtf to players_and_staff.rtf;
o run the app and select players_and_staff.rtf;
o use the preserve and...
After you've sorted the players by uid click on the top player to select him and then use Control+A to select all the players. This will ensure that they are all in the resultant rtf file.
Whenever I've found that the odd player had the default regen face I
o edited the config.xml file to delete the player;
o edited the newgan.log file and deleted the two lines relating to the player in question;
o ran the NewGan manager again.
This worked for me
Edit the newgan.log file with a text editor by deleting the line(s) which contain your newgen's uid and then regenerate the config.xml file. I've also deleted the uid reference from the original config.xml file but I don't think that this step is necessary.
The newgens all have UIDs of 10 digits in the format of 2000xxxxxx so if you sort by UID they will either all be at the beginning or the list. I always sort so that they will be at the beginning.
If you haven't got a newgen filter try creating an rtf file which includes all the players in the game and then edit the file in a text editor (I use notepad++) to delete all the non newgens. Tip: Before generating the rtf file sort the players by their UID.
I create a new profile at the beginning of each new season in order to give faces to all the new newgens that have been created. In order to keep the faces that you previously allocated to your existing newgens use the "preserve" option in the NewGAN manager in the "mode" section.
