An interesting thread. I'm a Swansea lad and fan though this time around I started unemployed and wound up with Stockport in conference north. After a couple of promotions and a good debut season in league two I moved to fellow league two club Newport who had just been relegated from league one...

Update. Finished 2nd season in 2nd place 1 point behind Chester. Only needed to win last game to come first and battered Matlock but their keeper had a blinder!

I actually had no interest in Stockport beforehand if I'm honest. Was the first job I was offered and seemed like one with potential. Huge club for the level and healthy finances. Board a bit stingy though...

I started as Sunday league rep and unemployed and got appointed Stockport manager in mid October when they were second bottom. Took them to within an inch of the playoffs by the end of the first season and am currently battling with Chester for first place in January of the second season...

Update on my game with Swansea. Approaching halfway point of second seaso. And in first place . Also survived a genuine group of death in champions league with juventus, Celtic and bayern, qualifying top. Still in capital one cup. Can I retain it again?

Ended up 3rd with Swansea in first season with this plus capital one cup. Early signs are good in second season, 3 games played against spurs, man city and Chelsea and won all 3

Great tactic. Am in first season with Swansea and challenging for title with two months to go. Will be interesting to see how this develops after a few transfer Windows when I've had a chance to tailor the squad fully. have already retained capital one cup though |)
