Bought a couple of players preseason then bought a few more mid season, but due to alot of injuries ended up having to use them. I still think its the average age of the team and the lack of an old head. I'll also add that most of my players are foreign which could also add to the problems.
Exactly the same happened to me, started terrible after finishing 2nd in the PL. However the average age of my starting 11 is 22 years with the oldest player being 27. Thought the age might have something to do with it possibly.
Well just finished the first full season using this tactic and it went right down to the wire, previously to this the highest I'd finished in the PL was 11th. I also won the Capital One Cup aswell which is also my first domestic cup trophy.

Was using the AVB433 with good results but the defence was a bit shaky. Switched to this as its very similar, and the result have been fantastic, kept a clean sheet in every game I've played so far apart from getting tanked 4-1 by Man Utd at Old Trafford. So far so good...
Any advice onto tighten it up at the back? changed the dmc slider to defensive which helped a bit, but still leaking goals here and there. Otherwise a great tactic which has just got my Bournemouth side promoted to the Premier League. Cheers!
Not necessarily England but seem to be doing ok in Scotland with Rangers, have a good scouting network and finding some great players 16 and under. In all my FM history I've never like spending big money on players.
Done the sliders on the tranfer budget.
Don't have any contract offers pending, offering him the role as a key player, knocked agent fee's etc up which doesn't work.

Currently managing Rangers, have £75.3k p/w wages available. Trying to sign Guidetti on a free and he's requesting £25k a week and it's only letting me offer £10k per week wages, is this a glitch in the game or is there some way around this??
